Had a great ride today on Sebastien. He was such a good boy. Terri is very informative on battlefield stories and guides Mckayla and Missy are super nice. The fact these horses are rescues makes it even more special!

I have owned and shown horses all of my life until a few years ago when we retired. I miss riding so much! We chose this stable because we were camping at Artilery Ridge Campground but I had know idea they were also a rescue. I was so impressed with the facility and the condition of the horses. They truly care about their horses. The riding experience was just as impressive. Terry and the girls did an awesome job explaining everything, from introducing us to all of the horses, to the history of Gettysburg. Also amazing with the children on the ride! We live 5 hrs away and I want to go back just to ride again! I fell in love with my horse Lance! Oh and did I mention how comfy my saddle was Not your typical hack line! If I could give them 10 stars I would!

Myself, my husband, and 9 yr old daughter did the battlefield horseback tour yesterday and highly recommend it! It was so fun learning about each horse that we’d be riding. They were clearly so well taken care of, well trained, and loved by all the staff. Their rescue stories really made them so special. The tour was very organized and informative. Hearing about the Battle of Gettysburg while actually sitting on a horse on the same grounds as the Confederate and Union soldiers was a really neat experience. We loved every minute of this tour. And highly recommend supporting this horse rescue as the work they do is absolutely amazing.

Terri and her staff do a great job of making you feel comfortable. They give a lesson beforehand and tell you all about the horses. It is very evident how passionate they are about the horses and that is why they rescue. You also having stopping points where she will educate you about the battlefield. We loved every minute of it!

Had a wonderful ride on Gus last Sunday. Terry and crew were wonderful with their description of the battles. Gus is a gentle giant, loved being able to ride him. Very pleased that the rescued horses are being given a purpose and loved. I recommend this to anyone visiting the area. This is a once in a lifetime event.

The horses are wonderful, gentle and so very well behaved both before the ride, while waiting for everyone to get ready, and during the ride. My tour guide was Chris and I learned things about the battle that I never knew, even after growing up in this area and coming to Gettysburg all the time!! I would love to come up again and tour with Terry, as I understand she is also a wealth of knowledge!! Everyone is very nice and helpful and willing to answer any questions that you may have. What I love the most is the fact that all of their horses are rescued horses from a variety of situations!! Thanks for a great tour from a different perspective!!

We went, not knowing what to expect. I would do it again!!!!!! It was very personal. They made it very enjoyable for 2 13 yr old boys who care less about history. The group was only 7 people. The horses are very well cared for. I would recommend it highly!! They even took pictures for us

National Riding Stables is a must stop destination while in Gettysburg!! Their tour is very thorough and their care and mission for their horses is unmatched by their competitors. Terry was super accommodating to us and their wranglers were fun, engaging, and knowledgeable. You may be able to find other horseback tours of the battlefield but if you’re like us, people that care about the health and well being of horses, you would be doing a disservice to the amazing animals that carry you to book any other tour. A huge thank you to NRS!!
