The payments got all mixed up so make sure that you get a receipt. The fishing was good We caught a lot of fish and the crew was helpful.
The bad is the crew kept two of the fish and that didn't seem right. Then we left our fish in their componentry freezer overnight. That is a great service. But when we picked it up the next day, we were missing one of the packages of fish.

Great day to fish with the 3-way combo trip. Drop a crab pot or 5, then go catch some salmon and get your limit in 2.5 hrs for me this time, then just sit back and watch the rest of the boat catch fish. Then you come back to closer shore to bottom fish, catch them too, then go grab up the crab pots and head in. 10 hr trip.

We booked a bottom fishing trip with 4 crab pots. The receptionist, captain, and a crew member were very nice and friendly. It’s the younger crew member on “Enterprise” that gave us the worst experience.

First, when we reached the fishing spot, we followed the captain’s instructions and got up to the deck. We are a party of 5, but there are no 5 rods close to each other since other groups have claimed the spots already. I subtly mentioned this to the younger crew member, and was told “should have gotten to the deck earlier.”We just followed the directions of the captain and there are still many empty spots, just without rods and we didn’t want to be rude and move them ourselves. I took a single spot further away and thought everything should be fine now.

The worst part comes when we were getting the crabs, tho. In the past, they will count the total number of crabs and distribute evenly based on how many people have purchased the crab pots. They did not do that this time. Instead, they just told us we would get 20 crabs for the 4 crab pots. When we get off the boat and are moving the crabs into 2 separate coolers, we counted the crabs to be only 14, 5 in one and 9 in the other cooler. We mentioned this and the younger crew goes, “I counted them, it’s 16 not 14.” We let go of the fact that they said it was 20, and stated that it’s not 16 it’s only 14. He then said, “count them again” in an extremely condescending tone. We counted in front of him in the cooler and he mocks us, “what you are too scared to pick them up?” It was a big cooler and wasn’t really necessary to pick them up? We insisted the number being 14, and was annoyed and counted HIMSELF and still said, “9 + 4, it’s 16.” The older crew member stepped in and counted, said it’s actually 14. Then he cussed and said, “shut the f up.” He ended up grabbing two crabs from the crew’s cooler and gave it to the older crew member, without ever apologizing. Whatever he was thinking, hope it was worth it for him to save a few crabs for his own. This all happened after we tipped.

We had a fantastic day!
Everyone from the office to the captain and first mate made this a special day.
They have it perfected at every step. We had our fish cleaned and vacuumed packed for a nominal fee. Then we we unloaded the crabs the process was amazing. The gentleman were really fun and educational to talk with and shared some good stories.
We will be back and refer our friends!

Captain Dave and his deck hands treated us to a great 12 hour halibut outing. Excellent 66 foot Enterprise boat with many railings to throw up over when you get seasick. 8 out of 11 of our group got sick but felt much better after tossing their cookies. Rockfish, lingcod and halibut were caught. Had a shark take a bite out of a rockfish right at the side of the our boat. Great time for sure!

Had a great experience with Tradewinds. We did the 5 hour trip. We limited out on the rock fish, caught a couple of ling cod, and had lots of fun. We were on the sea pirate, and the captain and deck hand were both awesome!

Went to Newport for a fabulous birthday. Went out on Sea Venture and next day the Sea Pirate. Michelle was absolutely wonderful. Love the crew. We will definitely be back. Thank you for such a wonderful time. David and Michelle Freeman. UPDATE- Went out with Tradewinds again this year Sept 2023 labor day weekend again had a fantastic time. Went out with Capt Waddell on the Misty for 5 hour rock fish and saw my same deck hand from 2 years ago I had a blast catching so much fish. They really kept us on the fish and made sure we had a great time. Next day took the 10 hour salmon and bottom fishing trip with the Sea Pirate 2 with Captain Virginia Farrell and We had a blast again. The deck hand was such a fast netter we didn't lose our salmon. All of the staff and crew in and out of the office are fantastic. If I could rate them more than 5 stars I would!!!! I highly recommend them and can't wait to see you all again. Thank you so much everyone. Michelle and David Freeman.
