Oak + Honey Event Planning is such an amazing team, and a true pleasure to work with as the Photographer! Melanie made Sarah & Drew's wedding absolutely incredible. Her communication was exceptional - she was always quick to respond and kept me informed throughout the entire planning process. Her incredibly calm presence, excellent organization, and problem-solving prowess helped to make the day feel seamless and stress-free for everyone (even the other vendors!). The family and wedding party LOVED the mini timelines she shared with everyone - and in fact we were ahead of schedule the entire day (which is practically unheard of!). The quality of her design was beautiful and high-end, and it was truly fun to work with her. I will not hesitate to recommend Melanie and her team, and I hope we'll be able to work together again!

Day-of, Melanie and Melissa are honestly superheroes - both behind-the-scenes and front-of-house. They work hard to create the most stress-free day and environment and when there are stressors that are out of your control, they handle these effortlessly and with a poised and supportive response.

As cheesy as it sounds, I knew Melanie had my back in both handling planning tasks, engaging with other vendors, bringing my vision to life, and also just as a caring human. I’d come to cherish the regular planning meetings with Melanie and honestly consider her a friend at this point.

We hired Melanie and Oak + Honey shortly after getting engaged to help plan our dream wedding in Italy. We ended up working with her for about two years, and she was involved every step of the way. Most of the planning and event was unconventional, but Melanie was able to adapt and help in every way we needed. It was always easy to schedule meetings at times that were most convenient for us, and Melanie was always very responsive to our messages and needs. She was particularly helpful with all of the little details that we didn’t know about or how to handle, and helping guide us through what needed to be done and when. Because of the time, distance, and language differences, scheduling some vendors and confirming details was extremely time consuming and difficult. But Melanie handled it all so that we were basically only involved in the most fun parts of planning! Melanie was also incredibly helpful the day of the wedding, managing all of the vendors and guests so that we could just enjoy the day. Even when one of the photographers accidentally locked himself in the bathroom, all was fine and we were able to keep the band playing a bit longer before the ceremony! I don’t think we could have had the wedding we had without her help!

Our daughter Marissa and son-in-law Michael just recently got married in July and because we own Basil Place Farm and Venue and their wedding was there, we needed to hire a wedding planner to help us for that day. Melissa was a saint and made our day so perfect!
