The Old Parsonage is a truly unique and unforgettable place to stay! Hosts Jason and Todd are absolutely top-notch—warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. Their hospitality alone is worth five stars.

The building itself is an eclectic and beautifully restored parsonage and church conversion, filled with character and charm at every turn. Every detail, from the décor to the atmosphere, makes for a one-of-a-kind experience.

And the food—wow! Breakfast was outstanding, with high-quality ingredients and thoughtful preparation that made every bite a delight.

If you’re looking for a stay that combines history, comfort, and exceptional hospitality, The Old Parsonage is the perfect choice. Highly recommend!

No breakfast included at the bed and breakfast... Weird. When I checked in I asked where breakfast was and he told me "sometimes yes and sometimes no"

Stayed in the Egyptian room. Cleanliness was very subpar. Tons of lint on the sheets and several hairs. Much more than you'd normally expect or accept in a hotel. Sheets were dark blue as well which makes it harder to see if they're clean. So if I saw that much debris... Must not be very clean.

Shared bathroom is weird, but everything is functional and everything in there was actually very clean.

Heat was on blast all night. Woke up in a hot sweat. Turned on the AC unit. Got back up to adjust the settings and saw mold in the vent of it. Opened a window in January instead.

Location was fine. Safe area, just not much to do. I needed a spot outside of Pittsburgh and it was convenient enough for me. Would recommend spending a little more on a hotel and accepting some extra drive time if you're glued to this area.

This is a terrible place to stay! Don’t stay here unless you want to feel like you’ve smoked 30 packs of cigarettes and walked through mud just to get to the your room from the shower. If you do stay here make sure to bring Lysol spray, Clorox wipes and some shower shoes along with you!
I booked a month stay at this disgusting place due to work, and I couldn’t even stay in that room a couple of hours because my asthma was acting up due to the smoke smell that was horrrriiiiblllee. The sheets smelt like they weren’t washed just sprayed with fabreeze. Then when I tried to tell the owner that I couldn’t stay there he rejected my refund and kept my 1200 dollars (I didn’t even spend the night, had to find something at 7pm after a long day at work) like what if I didn’t have any more money to find a clean place?
What upset me the most was the fact that they were so unprofessional, they didn’t want to talk on the phone I called them and they kept hanging up, they just texted me when I was explaining my issues and then they had the audacity to call me a liar and a scam because I was asking for MY MONEY BACK.
Over all zero stars I WILL NEVER RECOMEND THIS PLAVE NOR STAY THERE.
Truly disappointed!
DO BETTER AND MAYBE FIND A BETTER MAINTENANCE MAN BECAUSE BECAUSE WHY DOESNT YOUR BATHROOM HAVE AN ACTUAL FLOOR ?GROSSS and unsafe.

I booked for the wrong date, i assumed when i opened the calendar it would be on the same month as the month it was, but it opened the next month so i ended up booked for February instead of January, i needed it in January, within minutes of booking when i noticed the error i tried to reschedule, they did not have availability for January, i then asked to cancel and they refused to cancel the stay that i will not be there for. Very disrespectful would never recommend a group that has no consideration for its customers, the trip was over a month out when i booked and tried to cancel yet they refused any refund.

So glad to see that the Old Parsonage is going strong and making many travelers happy. I stayed in the Egyptian room, could it have been 10 years ago, before breakfast moved to the sanctuary. It was fascinating to hear John’s plans and find such a creative hostelry in my home territory. Long may it prosper!

There’s not many places to stay in this sleepy little town so from that perspective the Parsonage is okay. But we had electrical issues with the window air conditioning which jumped from room to room. It was a hot day which probably taxed the older systems. Breakfast was pop tarts, hard boiled eggs, granola bars, and toast. The single bathroom has a shower is that is in a quaint tub with a difficult water flow. The house has clean floors but a deeper clean would probably benefit future reviews.

Our friends came up from Maryland to visit us and they stayed at The Old Parsonage last night. We were able to meet them there for breakfast. The breakfast was amazing cinnamon French toast smothered in ripe blueberries and strawberries buried in homemade whipped cream. The rooms were well able to accommodate the 7ft tall husband. Their rooms were beautiful with a pull out bed that was perfect for the youngest. We can't recommend this place enough. The hosts are amazing people who will definitely make you feel welcome.
