Great hotel! Superb location in Delray Beach. We visited for Valentines weekend and the staff handled a very busy weekend with professionalism and courtesy. The property itself is very nice and all the great restaurants and shops are within walking distance. If able, request a room away from the large air conditioning cooling unit which is very loud. However, with the patio door closed it is not an issue. Would definitely go back.

Hands down, the best spa experience ever— but let's talk about those sheets. You know that commercial where the person is obsessed with their sheets? That was me. Soft, cool, and impossibly luxurious. The massage was amazing, the ambiance was perfect, but those sheets? Pure heaven. I left feeling relaxed and low-key jealous I don't have them at home.

This is a wonderful hotel. Our room overlooked the beach across the street. The employees are dedicated and friendly. I would like to mention a few.|In the Monkey Bar at night is a phenomenal woman named Lili (Liliana). She bartends, waitresses, and does whatever needs to be done with a smile on her face. We enjoyed a few dinners there and cocktails at the bar. |In the morning, Jodi was a fun waitress who made us feel so special. She was a hard worker and did everything to please us.|At the pool, we liked all the staff, but especially Ella. She worked so hard. Ella would not let us move a thing. She was always there to move the chairs and umbrellas and her personality shines. Michael was very welcoming when we checked in.

I am currently at the hotel - in the middle of my stay. First, great location - which is what drove my decision…and to pay the almost $650/night. Second, the staff at the cafe - very good as well at the breakfast restaurant. The turn down person from yesterday - very nice/kind. Thank you for the chocolates! The spa, haven’t had a service - just stopped by. One of the staff members was informative and nice.

But, so far - that’s where it ends. The room is fairly small - sparse decor (not minimalist) overlooking a construction parking lot. The pool deck is kinda hilarious - packed full of lounge chairs on top of each other, and full always. I ended up just sitting on the side of the pool with all my stuff. Never was I approached by a pool attendant for anything - drinks, food, nothing. Nope. Additionally, Housekeeping didn’t show up to my room, so when I called to see if it was an every other day kind of thing - nope. My room was skipped…it was 6p, and they said - well, I can send someone now - uh no. The guest services person was almost ‘oh well’. Dunno, just seems like a hotel charging this price point is either luxury or they are not. The room service is weird too….I am used to room service at this category to be served on plates. Full set up. Nope, boxed up to - go style.

Based on my experience of other luxury stays, this place misses the mark so far. Which is super disappointing.

Thank you for your response. Respectfully, I attempted to discuss this with two management levels. First, when it took 15 mins for me to connect to a room service associate - I asked to speak with a manager. I explained the situation and that I was hung up on, or left on hold. Their response, oh - let me get someone to take your order. And, as mentioned below in the review - when I called to understand the housekeeping policy….and understood my room was inadvertently skipped, I asked the guest services to mention this to housekeeping management. His response was, sure.

I went to the spa in the hotel and had a pedicure with Joanna. She was great and the pedicure was the best I have had. My friend enjoyed her massage. All the employees in the spa area were very nice friendly and helpful. They offered us tea or other beverages and snacks while we waited. It is a nice environment. Afterwords we went to the Drift restaurant for a late lunch and we were pleased with the menu selections and our meals. My friend had a burger and I had the salmon salad. The service was great too. We did not stay at the hotel since we live locally. We would definitely enjoy returning back to the spa and restaurant. I have often been to Delray Beach to enjoy the beach and nice restaurants but never thought to try the spa and restaurant at the Opal and glad I did.

Took my family here for a Christmas get away and wow!

The resort is clean & well kept, location is spectacular with the beach directly across the street as well as plentiful restaurants + amenities within walking distance.

The rooms were spacious, two pools on site and above all else the customer service was top notch, not to mention solid in-hotel dining options too.

Worth the money and will definitely be coming back to this hotel again next year.

My go-to when visiting Delday Beach FL. We come here every summer and it never gets old! The hotel has been upgraded immensely since it was the Marriott. They are currently re-doing some of the pool deck (pics incl) and I can't wait to see when it's done. Its location is awesome directly on the Ave and the beach, and you couldn't ask for a better staff from Valet, to the pool bar, to the restaurants & bars. Patricia at customer service is awesome and always helpful. Henry at Valet is always on point! Sylvia, Ashley & Brooke at the pool bar, Daniel & Mike at the pool deck, and I can't forget Anna, Jody & Vlad @themonkeybar who I still see every time I come back! They have a substantial gym & spa also, and for kids, they have a waves surfing camp not far down A1A and other fun camp places as well!

Upon entering the Hotel, Nicholas, my son, Yuli, my daughter in Law and 5 other guests were approached by Patricia the Concierge and other employees as they entered the Hotel and started to take photos, between 3:45 PM and 4:00 PM on Friday March 7th 2025.||They were totally disrespected to the point of humiliation, discrimination and unprofessionalism, disgraceful treatment. How Dare anyone, especially in the Hospitality Industry, treat people like they are garbage! |||As they entered the Hotel, Patricia and other staff said “You can’t take pictures here, you need a COI” (Certificate of Insurance). They had a nice camera, no lights or tripods or anything fancy. Since when can’t anyone take photos, we all do it with our cell phones? Seriously, they just got married 1 hour prior. The Hotel Statt including Patricia the Concierge were hawk eyeing their every move after this disgusting treatment of disrespect and racism. One staff member told another staff member “watch them”. How humiliating and demeaning!!!!||They immediately told me what happened. I was mortified and couldn’t believe such a thing could happen in a 5 * star hotel, that I stayed in many times. I approached Patricia and she lied and said it was her. I went up to the room #262 they again told me what happened, I was so angry, this treatment ruined the Wedding!!!!! The Opal Grand RUIN the vibe of happiness and joy to disbelief. || In the heat of the moment I was infuriated! Afterwards talking it over with my daughter and that night walking thru the lobby there were event in the main room, many affluent people, mostly white, dressed to the nines, I didn’t see any Latin or African Americans. I can see how discrimination and disgusting behavior happened since guest and visitor to the Opal Delray are affluent but no excuses for anyone. I attached a photo for racial profiling, and you tell me if my guests were worthy of not being treated with dignity.
