After Hearing About Open Doors Outdoors Though a Family Member I Researched the Group & Decided I Wanted to Be Part of it. The Founder Was Very Responsive & Within 3-Days of Our First Conversation I was on My Way to The White Mountains with 9-Veterans. We All Summited Safely & Enjoyed Camaraderie, Laughs, A Great Challenge & a Good Meal. I’m Looking Forward to Many More Great Adventures in This Very Peaceful Setting that Davey Creates!!!

As a special education teacher with the RISE Program in Coventry I would recommend Open Doors Outdoors Adventure in South Glastonbury for a field trip. Davey and Jesse were amazing with our students. They welcomed our group like we have all been friends forever, which made it so much more comfortable for the students. We all enjoyed having an adventure of riding in the UTVs, going over the hills, through the water, and being outdoors. The smiles on the students faces were truly a gift. Thank you Davey and Jesse for making our field trip “out of this world.”

Great group led by a great man. The founder helped me personally do an honorable long run in Memory of my Father in 2020. He consistently sets the bar for what good leadership entails within giving back to others. Great comraderie amongst brothers & sisters. Highly recommend ODO.

I’m always very fond of programs that support our Veterans and Open Doors Outdoors really hits the mark! I met Davey through a family member and Veteran, and immediately connected through a UTV ride. ODO is doing amazing things for our Veterans and their families whether it be rides, hikes or outdoors adventures. Hearing Davey’s story made me understand the deep passion he has for helping out our Vets and I’m excited to start some hikes with the group and help out when I can as well. Go Navy!

What a fantastic 5 mile excursion through South Glastonbury! Davey was a great guide. Learning about the growth of the program, particularly with the "vibration therapy " aspect that helps autistic children, truly warmed my heart. The highlight for me was getting up close to a pair of roosting bald eagles sitting comfortably next to their riverside nest. Hawks, various species of ducks, and other wildlife rounded out our excursion. I'm looking forward to spending more time with this neccessary organization. Thanks again Davey. Peace.

What a great organization. I can’t say enough about Davey’s generosity and good will towards his fellow veterans. He’s gotten me out on a number of hikes that were very challenging and extremely rewarding, and also connected me with other like-minded individuals who definitely benefited from the hikes, and the renewed spirit of camaraderie that often disappears after leaving the military. Keep up the great work!

Open Doors Outdoors is a wonderful organization that offers many programs in support of veterans, their families and young children. Our family enjoyed a fun off-road adventure through rolling hills and farmland as part of their UTV program. This vehicle is equipped for exploring the great outdoors in every season and we loved getting out this winter. Already looking forward to doing it again! Thank you Davey.

Davey from Open Doors Outdoors came to Veterans Base Camp amd presented his program to the Veterans that live and volunteer at Base Camp. Davey was enthusiastic, genuine and easy to understand when he shared his mission to help veterans to experience healing through the comraderie on the hike, the beauty of nature and the physiological benefits that exercise has on our nervous systems.
The hike was well planned, Davey is great with communicating all that we needed to know for the hike and everyone agreed they can't wait for the next one!
