Recently had a stroke and was placed in The Grove in New Wilmington. After 2 weeks and the neglect and poor service I received from the Director of Speech Therapy, I was convinced to give The Orchard Manor in Grove City a chance. Easily the best decision I made. The lead Keri and her fabulous team Ashley, Linda and Lori, Physical and Occupational therapy and a bright new young man, Jason for Speech, I received the best care I possibly could have gotten and I'm so appreciative of that group. Nurse Tina, Nurse Barb, the aides and I know I'm leaving out people and I'm sorry. Having a stroke at 53 is extremely scary and emotional. The rug is literally pulled out from you in just one night. The group is well educated and sympathetic to my needs and concerns going forward. They prepared me to go home and take care of myself. The whole experience can be extremely overwhelming, insurance and monies but Meghan in that department went through step by step so there would be no unfor seen bills when discharged. I made friends with a group of ladies that were just so kind and for ever greatful for. I highly recommend The Orchard Manor for anyone that needs rehabilitation for life changing situation.

The aides took very good care of my friend. They responded quickly to the buzzer. They were kind and caring. OT and PT were thorough but it would have been nice to have more time with them. Facility is clean and food was good.

What a FANTASTIC PLACE, my husband and I put our loved one in there for her Dementia. They work with her everyday with doing activities( which our daughter- n- law and her crew does an AWESOME JOB with ALL the residents) The nursing staff, the occupational therapy and physical therapy does a great job as well. We NEVER HAD an issue with ANYONE. I have seen places in kittanning, and I wouldn't even put my dog in those places compared to orchard manor, we are VERY THANKFUL for what a great place and clean place the facility is.. My mother n law LOVES IT THERE..

What a huge disappoint this place was! My 89 year old father was sent there for rehab after breaking his femur. The care was awful, physical therapy wasn't done daily as prescribed, bloodwork was skipped often even though they had orders to test frequently because of low hemoglobin, he was left sitting on the toilet for 1.5 hours, and laid in bed for an entire weekend. Insurance stopped paying for his stay after 2 weeks and he was still not able to put weight on his leg. He could've paid out of pocket but why pay when the care is so poor? Some nurses were not nice at all. My dad's roommate was crying because he was in so much pain. My sister told the nurse at the desk and was told 'we don't treat crying'. Turns out, they didn't give the poor man his pain meds....Do not subject a loved one to this place.

We have had best care for our Dad and Mom at Orchard Manor! Our Dad passed away a few years ago, and we were pleased with the good care he received there. The staff cares for the best for the residents! At least one staff member has a parent residing there. Cleaning staff and maintenance workers work hard, and they keep the place clean and safe. Orchard Manor does not have urine odor. Mom enjoys excercises, both in physical therapy, and morning exercises, with noodleball game. She enjoys the church services there. The kitchen staff treat residents as if they were their parents. The Cook will only feed food which is quality she would feed her Mother. Family can eat with residents. The aides, nurses, and social workers work hard to make sure residents' needs are being met. Laundry and sewing staff keep busy labeling, washing, and sewing for the residents. Administration has frequent meetings with family members, discussing strategies for success of each resident. Activities are interesting and fun for residents and family. Recent holiday banquet was HUGE success. Very enjoyable newsletter! We all enjoy seeing our Mom, Millie, so happy there! Orchard Manor is like a home away from home!

Boy oh boy. This place. Yes this place. So many words. As a visitor, as a family member, as a person with soooooo many internal insights. This is NOT the place you want to have your loved one be for any type of care. Nope!
Employees are treated very unfairly (agency especially). I’m already pushing one employee to follow through with a complaint of neglect, abuse, and employee discrimination.

They treat employees poorly. They also expect staff to come to work sick with no regard to the residents becoming sick also. Residents complain about food daily. No diabetic diet or menu for diabetics so the residents with diabetes blood sugars are always through the roof. RNs will tell you not to follow doctors orders and do what they tell you to do instead.

Understaffed & very rude nurses. The best help is from agency. Actual staff can care less about the residents or it’s employees. Putting your loved ones here is worse than sending them to prison. It’s beautiful looking place buts Salts also looks like sugar
