Motel 81
When I arrived at 3:30 pm to check in they didn’t have a room ready and asked me to come back an hour and a half later but I couldn’t as I had a funeral at 4pm. They “cleaned” a room for me in 15 minutes. It was a single bed and I booked a double bed room. There was no hand soap, no towels to even dry your hands. I was appreciative they rushed to get a room for me but booked the extra bed for my dogs as I have a large German shepherd (130lbs) and needed the extra space and got no refund for even the difference of the smaller room. Ended up leaving a day early. The door didn’t stay closed unless it was deadbolted. The bathroom door didn’t shut either. The workers were nice but unprepared.

Right off the interstate, little road noise but air conditioner will drown it out. Needed a place to sleep for the night on a road trip and this was perfect. Cheap, safe, easy on and off, and all new furniture in the rooms. Some people expect a Hilton for the price of a motel, but if you just need a place to sleep, highly recommend. Surpassed my expectations for the price. The front desk guy was super nice with my late night arrival and early check out.

This motel just went under new management to become Motel 81 and was still in the process of having some of its rooms newly renovated when my wife and I stayed there during our vacation to see the April 08, 2024 solar eclipse. We met two of the owners/individuals involved in fixing up the place and were greatly impressed by their friendliness. It is obvious that they really care about making sure their guests feel accommodated and heard with regard to any issues they might experience while staying there. My wife and I enjoyed how fresh and clean the room that we stayed in smelled and how comfortable the beds were. We also enjoyed watching YouTube on the smart TV. We are hopeful to revisit in the future.

Don't stop here !! Room was disgusting! Floors were dirty from not being mopped , bathroom was gross, toothpaste slim from previous person ! Tile soup holder was laying on the floor and sheetrock was exposed in shower !! No lamp shades on lights , no chairs to sit on !

We are here right now in a room. Customer service is outstanding, rooms are clean, pet friendly, I recommend if you are coming to the area you stop here. There is room where your pets can run they don't mind but be courteous and clean up after them. I have been looking for a place to stay when we visit and now I have found it. Thank you for the kind welcome and courteous service you provided

I'm originally from this area but now live 4 hrs away but I come in to see family quite often and this motel is very affordable and very clean,I've stayed here a few times know and the staff are very friendly and I would highly recommend, rooms are nice and beds are very comfortable....

Not a scam, because they will refund you in entirety after they cancel your prepaid reservation at 7 pm of your arrival day. I was about to arrive at 7:30 pm, and surprisingly received the refund email at 7 pm saying my prepaid reservation was cancelled (I guess they sold the room to walk-ins at a higher price). I'm glad the email was not a scam and the refund did appear in my PayPal account! And I must re-route and find another place to stay for the night by paying $100 more. I encourage you to do so too, if you are okay with their "professional" behavior.

The rooms are nothing like what is on the internet.. I reserved a room paid it on line just to show up at the property to find out they didn’t have my room. And I have to wait on my money back. They give you two bottles of water because the tap water in not drinkable PER the front desk.
It is cheap but not worth it. The first room they tried to give me the door did not lock.. was told the is someone on the property at all time. That wasn’t good enough for me so they gave me a different room that was no better. I will pay a little more to stay somewhere else next time..
