Panhandle Getaways Calypso Tower III - Panama City Beach, Florida

We stayed in Calypso Tower 3 Room 808. Very nice accommodations. The room was very clean and the furnishing up to date and in very good condition.
All appliances worked well, Washer, Dryer, Stove, Dishwasher, Microwave. Kitchen was well equipped and easy to work in. I was able to prepare multiple meals during our trip.
The pool was every nice and during the time we were there, there was live entertainment on Mon, Wed and Fri evenings. Really enjoyed the entertainer, who performed a mix of new and older country music and pop music.
Elevator wait times were never very long for third week in July.
Got a very good salad from cafe on the first floor. Was actually surprised how good the salad was.
I was not the biggest fan of the parking deck. I felt it needed better lighting. There were also sections that were blocked off for repairs, which was not convenient.
The carts for moving in and out were heavy duty, well maintained and worked great. I did have to give my drivers license to get the cart, which I did not like doing.
I felt the initial pricing on the Panhandle Getaways Website was miss leading. The initial price does not include taxes, cleaning fess, parking fees, and other fees. The actual final pricing was about 20-25% more than what you are initial given. I probably paid about what I normally pay at the end of the day, but it was not the bargain that I thought I was getting a first.
The room had a good view of the gulf, to be on the second row. Not as good as a gulf front tower, but still good view. The balcony was a nice size and didn't feel cramped. Enjoyed to sitting on the balcony and seeing the gulf or looking down at the pool.
The location is also close to the pier and shopping areas, grocery stores, so very convenient.
Also, both TVs were in excellent condition and very large screens. Wifi worked great. AC worked great. Shower in master bath worked good. Overall, the rooms were layout well and worked good. Room had bunk beds and sleeper couch, but we did not use either, but they appeared to be in good condition.

During our stay, they were also doing some safety renovations. These renovations were unobtrusive and we definite felt safe and had no concerns.

We recently stayed at Calypso Tower 3 and it was all that we had hoped and more! We had an end unit on Floor 11 and it was amazing! The views from the condo and our wrap around deck were spectacular! The staff was super friendly and helpful. I was skeptical about not staying directly on the beach in the other two towers but I can honestly say after seeing all three that Tower 3 is the BEST! I can’t wait to return! Other things to mention are the convenience of parking being in Tower 3, the gorgeous pool, the great food on the first floor, an awesome gym and it’s a quick walk to Pier Park!

We enjoyed staying at unit #610 at Calypso Tower III. The condo was sparkling clean, elegant, and specious! I always look for a place that has a fully functional kitchen, clean bathrooms and comfortable beds. This condo made me feel like home! My kids love the bank beds! I was able to cook dinners for the whole family. The whole experience was awesome! The property has a lovely pool and great live music in the evenings, plus you can order delicious food on the spot from the cafeteria downstairs. Plus, plus they have a tiki bar at the pool to enjoy refreshing drinks. Just fabulous property!

Beautiful, brand new resort! Kids loved playing in the heated pool (warm enough to swim even in February) and we enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. We really liked having easy access to the beautiful beach (blue water and white sand) and Pier Park (many restaurants and cute shops)! We stayed in the spacious corner unit #212 (3 bedrooms and 3 baths) and loved the views of the beach and ferris wheel from our wrap around balcony. The best place we ever stayed at in the United States!

We LOVED staying at Calypso this week for family vacation. Location is perfect, amenities are even better. The Emerald Hub has so many food options, the pools were nice and perfect for kids. We rented a cabana by the pool one day, which was nice with a baby. The staff was friendly and always available to answer questions. Walking distance to pier park. Overall a great stay!

We would like to thank Panhandle Getaway. This our 4th year at Calypso Tower 3 and with Panhandle Getaway.
We would like to thank all the staff. They are all very professional and personal. We would especially like to thank Jamie! They all take very good care of us.
Each time we have stayed at Calypso Tower 3, the rooms are always beautiful, equipped well, we love the view.
It’s great walking downtown, too.

We came here in March for my Birthday and it was the best time of my life. The resort is amazing it’s right there on the beach and even though we were in Tower lll there is an overpass connects you right to the towers across the street and the beach is at your feet! The pools are huge and heated, such a delight in a chilly night. Let’s not forget the best part we were on like floor 21 and had a spectacular view of the pier across the street. Not for forget but the location is perfect you are steps away from the beach and steps away from all the shopping and restaurants. Highly highly recommended, if you’re ever in Panama City Beach Florida stay at the Calypso !

This was an excellent location to stay. Walking distance from pier park and public beach access. The beach can also be accessed by taking the skyway to buildings 1 and 2. There are pool bars located at the 3 pool and at the beach access. Both alcoholic and virgin drinks are available.

There is security on location and several employees at the front desk areas. A wristband must be worn during your visit to use the pools and show you are a guest. Parking available on site, you must scan in and out. Carts are available to bring your belongings to your condo.
