New management is WONDERFUL! Natasha is very understanding and cares a lot. However when it comes to living here, that is a different story. If you're offered a middle floor unit, don't even bother. Our neighbors have made it miserable to live here the majority of the time we have been here. There really is nothing that can be done when submitting formal complaints about noise. If you don't mind hearing every conversation or everything your neighbors are doing, then this place is for you.

We have lived here for two years, and it is an awesome community. John and Christina are so, so friendly and helpful, and very accessible. The apartments are comfortable, and they allow you to paint and modify them within some reasonable limits. The few maintenance issues we have had were quickly addressed. We have had occasional issues with hot water running short during high-demand times, but apart from that no realm problems. This has been a great place to live!

I’ve enjoyed living here for the last year and a half, one year at Penn Grove then I transferred to Colony 7 months ago. Transferring to another unit restarts the 1 year contract no matter how long you’ve lived at the apartment complex. Onsite management John and Christina are GREAT and have been extremely nice and helpful as well as the maintenance man Gordon who is awesome. Unfortunately there is a major flooding issue with Colony building 1460 that management does not communicate or disclose to new tenants. This flooding issue has been going on for decades and they do re-carpet and fix cosmetic damage but don’t improve the system to handle more rain water. There has never been anything done to FIX the issue that is bound to happen over and over again to more people that move in and live here. I have talked to someone who currently has lived here 20 plus years and people who are former tenants from decades ago who experienced flooding in Colony building 1460 on the first floor. It is not right that there is zero communication that there is a flooding issue/history that happens from time to time so that potential tenants know to get flood insurance or just not rent units located on the first floor. If you move into Colony building 1460 on the first floor IT WILL FLOOD EVENTUALLY whether it’s in the first couple months or next 5-10 years, the problem has not been fixed and the upper management apparently is fine with letting people go through a flood experience and just replace carpeting and cosmetics. It can’t be right that they withhold common knowledge of a problem that is not improved to prevent a future flooding. They should not let people unknowingly live in an environment that is guaranteed at some point in time to cause a hazardous living environment along with destruction of property especially with not letting tenants know to have flood insurance which standard renters insurance does not cover. After the first time it flooded years ago the drainage system should have been changed to handle more water. The only upper management person I was able to talk to is Rick Noga and he or possibly management higher than him won’t let me leave prematurely to my contract without paying their penalty charge. Be prepared to deal with inconvenience if you move here on the first floor of Colony building 1460. The only reason I gave 3 stars instead of 1 is because onsite management John and Christina along with Gordon for maintenance do everything they can to give tenants a great experience and the apartment is nice. I wish I could give 5 stars just for them.

Appears that poor management and a general apathy toward renters needs are what makes this place hard to deal with. Management can't even get folks a move in date that doesn't keep moving around at random. Stability and honesty need to be taught to those operating this property.

I don’t recommend this place, no one knows how to fix a toilet, got charged for a microwave that I didn’t damage. Anyone who still lives there take pictures of how you left the place. Pathetic how people scam money.

Unless you handle noise well, ask for top floor

Way over priced for how little room you get. Thin walls.
