Definitely my favorite time of year is decorating the floats. It is now a tradition. This was my 3rd year decorating. I started decorating 3 years ago after my chemo treatments finished with my family. I was invited by my oncology nurse now my best friend to come decorate. I LOVE IT!! I enjoy the interaction with all the amazing team leaders. There is always so much to do. From gluing seeds, flower petals, dried fruit slices, tubing flowers, sticking flowers onto the floats, etc... This is such an amazing experience to be a part of and see unfold. We usually work on the city of Alhambra float. My friend's husband is one of the float drivers so we really do enjoy seeing this float come to life. Phoenix has the flower area very organized, the glue station with the brushes you need and the building has so much space for everyone. It does get cold but nothing a sweater and beanie can't fix. There is a bathroom on site as well as port a potties. Parking is a breeze. You can find parking across the street in the parking lot or on the street curb side. If you ever have the curiosity to work on the floats ..... I highly recommend it! Help is always appreciated. Besides what's more fun than being a part of float history. Be sure to also stop by and pick up your tournament of roses pins, beanies, sweatshirts, etc... I can't wait to do it again in December. See ya soon Phoenix Decorating Co.

Always so much fun to be able to help decorate the Rose Parade Floats and then feel proud of what you did (even if it's a little bit) when you see them go down Colorado Blvd on New Years day!
