Ponderosa Adventures is one of the best examples of how to treat a customer that our family has seen in a long time.

Kevin and his wife answered all our questions even when it was late at night! They show with every action and interaction that they want you to be safe, happy, and worry free so you can enjoy your time as their guest!

When I accidentally messed up the end date of our rental, they changed THEIR plans so my family and I didn't have to find a place to stay overnight at the last minute.

When you rent something that costs at least 80K, you NEED to do so from trustworthy, honest people who know you are their guests.

Kevin, we have been dry camping for over 16 years. Your trailer was amazing, perfectly functional, and the genarater was too!

We rented a trailer through Ponderosa Adventures for four days. We experienced more negatives than positives.

First thing we noticed upon hooking the trailer on was that the tires were almost bald.

After arriving on site we went through the trailer getting it set up. We could not leave the door open for air movement as the screen was missing on the bottom half of the screen door. Also, at least 2 windows were missing screens.

We were excited to discover the outdoor kitchen only to find it unusable because the slides were broken.

Upon using the toilet we found that the bottom didn't seal so we had toilet fumes coming up the toilet. As the week went on (day two) we had to start using a stick to push the feces and toilet paper down into the tank. Just plain DISGUSTING!

Not a huge deal, but there are cabinet doors missing.

Don't expect to sleep more than 2 adults and 5/6 small children in the particular camper that we had. In working condition this camper should sleep 10.

Overall the condition of the camper isn't great but we only needed it for the beds and toilet. That said, for over a hundred dollars a night we expected a lot better kept camper.

We didn't use the shower, fridge, stove, heat or air so can't comment y how they worked.

On our way to return the camper the brakes started to smoke. When checking it out we discovered that the brakes on the passenger side had zero pads causing metal on metal.

When we brought these up to the owner he acted like it was our fault. We only drove the camper for three hours! Most of that on pavement. One does not wear out tires and brakes in 3 hours. We felt he rented us a very unsafe vehicle to tow. Had we not taken it slow we could have had serious trouble.

A few other concerns were met with a nonchalance attitude of "it is what it is".

The one positive thing I have to say is they provided us with a generator and were very accommodating on pick up and return times.

They had the opportunity to make things right with us, but didn't. We will not rent from them again

We really appreciate Kevin at Ponderosa Adventures. As my dad was going through the process of dying the last couple of months we have needed trailers several different times delivered to our property so family members could come up from Phoenix and from Colorado to help my mom take care of and be with him. There was a time when we couldn't get one of Kevin's trailers, so he actually purchased another one very quickly to make sure that we had what we needed at that crucial time. We will continue to use Ponderosa Adventures, and we will recommend it to our family and friends who are coming up to the White Mountains from the valley or anywhere else. Thank you Kevin. You made a really difficult time so much easier!

We just rented a trailer from Ponderosa Adventures and it was amazing. Makell (I hope I spelled that right) was so nice and so helpful. We took it to Big Lake for the weekend and everything was great. Shower worked, beds were comfy and they even gave us a microwave because the one that came with the camper when they bought it was busted. Very easy to set up and break down and pulled like a dream. We will be using them for many years to come. Thank you so much for the great weekend!

Stay away from this rental company at all costs.

Owner was unfamiliar with rental procedures; did not disclose loose screw in floor that was a safety hazard (both myself and my girlfriend tripped multiple times flying face first into the couch), and retroactively tried to charge for pets and campfire smoke which was alleged to be from renters smoking inside. It seems as if this owner felt he needed the money during COVID more than the individuals renting his trailer whose wheels were barely inflated enough to make it the 10 minutes to the campground. Multiple RV owners at the campground assessed the vehicle and advised against driving it anywhere other than right back to the owner out of safety concerns.
