We had a terrible experience at this hotel. At first glance, it seemed very clean, but our room was actually quite dirty. There was dust everywhere, the bathroom floor looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time, and there was an old coffee pod left in the machine. I do not recommend this place. The only good thing about the hotel is its location.

Really wished we would have read the reviews for this one. This hotel is NOT associated with Ramada. It’s privately owned and operated, and the owners do not care about the place at all.
We stayed at this place as it promised complimentary breakfast, it was along our travels, cheaper than other hotels in the area, and we thought it would be kept to Ramada standards. We were so wrong.
The lady at the desk was really nice, albeit very clearly spread thin and stressed out. She was helpful whenever we needed anything. The manager was ok, when we asked for the wifi password, she gave us an odd look and asked, “are you guys even guests here”. When we replied “yes, we’re staying in room #____.” she was still hesitant but gave us the password anyway. It was an odd interaction and we felt like we were doing something wrong.
The hallways and carpets look like they’ve never been cleaned or vacuumed, in the rooms and out in the halls. We had to wear indoor shoes in the room or else our feet were all sticky and we were stepping in crumbs and paint chunks from the crumbling walls.
THERE WAS NO BREAKFAST. The whole reason we chose this place was so we wouldn’t have to venture out to find and pay for food in the morning. There was stale cereal with no milk. A waffle maker with no batter. Cold coffee. No eggs, no bread, no nothing. Just stale cereal or dry oatmeal. There was a cigarette butt in the fridge where food should have been!!!!
The “fitness center” is just a gambling room where people smoke indoors all day long, stinking up the lobby and every floor above it. Gross.
Don’t stay here. Seriously, just don’t. We travel a lot and stay in all kinds of accommodations, this has been the worst one yet.

In town for one night. Needed a place to stay. 1st wasn't sure where we were supposed to park but we figured it out. Across the street. Make sure you get a pass to put in your car window. homeless people camping out next door. lobby smelled like pot and 2 suspicious guys hanging out there. The room OMG! Gross! stains on walls, dust on everything and floors were dirty. It was a no smoking room but you would choke on the smoke smell. Only checked one star so I could submit this post

Quaint hotel currently under renovations. The ballroom was beautiful and was the perfect place for my niece's reception. Be careful with parking - you must get a parking pass from the hotel front desk to put on your windshield or you will get a violation from the parking lot operators.

When I put the directions into my gps it stated that the hotel was rated as 2.8 out of 5. That is extremely over rated. The staff was very friendly and accommodating as are keys didn’t work on the second day. The rest was just plain awful. The carpets were stained, the bathroom had a hole in the wall from the door knob, the refrigerator door would not open due to being unlevel and caused the seal to pull away, the toilet tank seal was leaking and caused it to refresh every two minutes, the light on one side of the bed did not function due to no outlet to plug it into. During our stay and ambulance took what appeared to be a homeless person away that had collapsed right outside the main entrance. The stay was short and should I have complained to the staff? Certainly, but I did not believe that any other rooms would be any different if they were willing to give this one out. Easy answer, never again.

The sign says under renovations, but it, this sign, has been there for a few years,|I have stayed here several times before, but this was the worst stay.|Room 315 needs a lot of attention. Here are my complaints:|1) the bathroom fan MUST be replaced. the vibration is unbearable|I don't know how the cleaning crew doesn't complain. |2) The TV remote does not control power on the TV, but it does change channels. There is some kind of electronics pard in the TV exposed. I can see the electronics chip.|3) The floor needs to be replaced. My last stay over 1 year ago had a better floor.|4) The controls on the air conditioner are unreadable. The Air Conditioner actually works too well, and I could not get it adjusted correctly.||Pottsville deserves a better Hotel then this!|I was born and raised here. Mabe keeping the Pomeroy's building needs to be reconsidered.

Rooms are basic. Breakfast is a hot pocket & bad coffee. Front desk was friendly. No convenient or secure parking. I was charged a $50 damage fee due to makeup on a wash cloth & hand towel. Ridiculous. Called the mgr, Tammy, to discuss & get charge reversed but was left on hold twice for almost an hour. I called three times on 8/19/24 but 8 hrs later and Tammy has yet to return my call. Terrible customer service.

STAY AWAY - We had 10 rooms - The place has no Lobby furniture, no place to socialize, breakfast was literally Hot Pockets. Soft spots in the floor feel like you're gunna fall through. In 3 days no fresh towels or room cleaning. checked out and a week later we get a surprise "Damages Bill" for $50.00 for make up on a towel. Tammy the manager is everything except helpful. Such a scam. HORRIBLE NEIGHBORHOOD RUN AWAY!!!
