Johana at Private Picnics did an amazing job of making my daughter’s 15th birthday both luxurious and memorable. Johana decorated her picnic with a lavender theme (her favorite color and scent) and the table was gorgeous, with lavender roses and plates, gold utensils, and candles. She thinks of small details that teens will enjoy such as a Polaroid camera with filters that made fun memory photos for each guest to take home. We also had Uno games and teen-appropriate “mimosas” made from sparkling cider, juice, and berries. The charcuterie cups were incredible and beautifully made. I highly recommend Johana for any occasion that you want to be eye-popping and memorable!

My daughter treated me to a wonderful picnic at Balboa Park courtesy of Private Picnics and I can't stop telling EVERYONE I know about it! the setting was gorgeous and the food delicious. The large umbrella kept us cool and Johana even provided additional parasols for photos or extra shade. Everything was thoroughly clean and pristinely set. Johana picked up the setting when we were done. What a delightful, hassle-free celebration! This would be wonderful for any small, intimate get together, whether a romantic triste or a gathering of close friends. THUMBS UP!! Totally recommend!!

I hosted a baby shower for a friend, and Johana (Private Picnics) planned and put together the most beautiful event! There were 20 people, outdoors at a park in a friend's gated community. She scoped out the venue in advance to know what she was working with and frequently communicated about the choices for decorations, food, and drinks. I know she typically does small and more private events, so I was impressed with her quick turn around for this medium sized event of 20 people.

Johana provided everything! The decor was so beautiful and there were so many little details I would never have thought of. We had flowers, balloons, table cloths, fancy plates and utensils and glasses for mimosas, baby shower signs, and more. The food was delicious - a meat and cheese board, locally catered sandwiches, two desserts - mini bundt cakes and macarons, and a mimosa bar with fresh fruit.

If you want to provide a well planned, beautifully decorated and catered event, I highly recommend Private Picnics!

OMG! I was surprised and well pleased with Johanna's ability to put this event my wife & daughter planned for me! It was my 54th birthday and we were positioned by the water where we could people watch and see the boats sail by. I would highly recommend Private Picnics for anyone who is looking to surprise their significant other or for a beautiful outing.

Private Picnics is exactly what we wanted and needed! We were planning a small birthday party for my daughter and we needed to be outside because of covid precautions. I wanted something simple and beautiful and this picnic was perfect! Everything was set up when we got there and I didn't have to do a thing! And the look on my daughter's face was priceless! All the details were thought through and executed with style. I will definitely be calling again for date night:)

This is the PERFECT date night idea! I took my (now) fiancé for a evening picnic and she absolutely loved it! We went to sunset cliffs and absolutely enjoyed every minute of it. They really hooked us up with snacks, speaker and a really nice setting. Extremely responsive as well. 10/10 will come back next time we’re in San Diego. Thanks again guys!!
