Spending New Year’s week at Pura Vida Surf Camp was incredible! The staff were so warm and welcoming, especially Pri, the amazing coordinator who made everything feel effortless and fun.

As a first-time surfer, I was thrilled to be standing and controlling the board by the end of the week, thanks to the patient and skilled instructors. The waterfall excursion was breathtaking and showcased Costa Rica’s natural beauty.

The camp’s friendly atmosphere also made it easy to form lasting friendships. I’d highly recommend Pura Vida Surf Camp to anyone—whether you’re a beginner or a pro. Can’t wait to return!

We opted for a canyoneering experience and had a fabulous time with our guide, Joe! Spectacular views, he challenged us while ensuring safety, shared a wealth of information and it was overall, one of our favorite experiences for beginners to canyoneering, but who enjoy a good hands shaking and heart thumping experience.

Today, I did my first rappel excursion with Daniel from Pura Vida. What an amazing day! He was super patient with me, extremely knowledge about the forest and plants (which I’m fascinated by), and he explained instructions very well. My son had a great experience mountain biking with Joe for a day! After his dad got injured the day before, we booked this tour so that he could continue mountain biking. Joe made sure that he had fun but that he was also on trails that were suited for his ability. We felt like he was in great hands. Thank you Joe!

I went waterfall rappelling with tour guide Joey and had a wonderful experience. It was my first time and he was a wonderful and thorough instructor. He explained all the gear, the process, and even had me practice with it beforehand. Throughout the whole experience Joey gave me clear instructions and guidance. It was so much fun and I cant wait to go again.

Had a great time!!! The guides were awesome as was the experience. Definitely a unique repel and a memory maker. We will be back for the other adventures offered. The team was very professional and made sure everyone felt welcomed, all while making sure everyone was safe.
