I like this place

It’s nothing fancy but it is nice it is clean, there is a pool in the summer across the parking lot , and there is a place called Craft house gastropub- so cute , good food , live entertainment on outside deck in the summer across- Also- in winter -there is the Belmont also (same place that has community pool in the summer) you can ice skate at public skating

Very cute room. Love the soaps and lotion was actual bottles and not the minis. Refrigerator and microwave. Smelled good inside and the candle was a nice touch. Loved the blueish wood stain 😍

I frequently travel across the US for work, using the Timestamp app to verify my locations. Recently, I stayed at this hotel and had a disappointing experience. After an early night, I woke up to itching on my shoulder, only to find a bed bug on my bed! The itching persists, and I strongly advise against staying here.

I stay here with my family when we come to visit western PA. The rooms are redone with nice materials, it's nicer every time I come back. The breakfast is always hot and fresh, they really do a nice job with that. Best hotel/motel shower/bathroom ever and overall best motel in PA and best motel I've experienced in the entire choice system.

Great place to stay with excellent staff. Very informative with locations and times. The night light in bathroom was a great touch especially traveling with children. We loved the pool. It was actually a community pool but with staying at this hotel you show your key card and get in free. It was a nice big pool and there was even a slide for the kids to go down. Not crowded like you would think a community pool would be.

Was here for a few hockey games and didn’t want to stay 1+ hours away for a 1 night stay. I was hesitant as pics showed room doors to the parking lot and those hotels are sometimes a bit sketch.

Positives : The carpets, bathroom, seemed to have been recently redone and I was impressed with the cleanliness. Staff were friendly and while I did not get to eat the breakfast I had heard it was a decent spread. The convenience of the rink right across the parking lot made it great. And a gastropub also on site was perfect for post game cocktails with other parents.

Negatives : the room smell was musty. Not unbearable but the AC units while working I think was the culprit. It was one night so I wasn’t overly concerned but if staying multiple nights that may be something to consider.

The doors to rooms were hard to lock. One parent thought his was closed and fortunately one of the others on the way back to their room recognized it wasn’t closed and pulled the room door completely shut.

Another parent mentioned that they had an adjoining room door and it was unlocked, he just assumed it would have been handled / locked by housekeeping from the prior stay.

In my shower there was a ceiling tiles that needed replacement. I believe at one point a leak from the room above stained it. Not a big deal to me. It if you are expecting the Ritz Carlton you may want to try another location.

All things considered this was not a bad place for a 1 night stay. If the room did not have the musty smell I would have gone 3.5 -4 stars for a temporary stay.
