I knew what I was getting into staying here, but I did not realize Tru was across the street and I needed a place close to where I was here for.
The front desk was very nice and helpful, the front desk guy with a ponytail and glasses was very accommodating and very nice, cheers to him. That is the only good thing I can say about this place. Gross, smelly rooms. They had me sign a no smoking policy, which is fine for me since I don't smoke. The issue it in the rooms it wreaked of cigarettes and there were burnt holes in the sheets/bedding. Carpet is gross, everything looks dirty. The only reason I even decided to write this was because the morning kitchen staffed yelled at me for not seeing a sign that she didn't turn around so I didn't know was there and was filling up my 16oz water bottle DURING THEIR COMPLIMENTARY BREAKFAST. I wasn't filling up apple juice or orange juice, water... I stayed at this hotel all I wanted was some water, you don't need to be rude to me for not seeing a sign that she did not turn around... that was the last straw.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. When we first checked in we smelled an odor in the hallway. We hoped it was just the hallway and proceeded to our room. The room smelled worse and we quickly requested another room. The staff was quick to give us a new room and there wasn't any smell in there. The carpet in the halls and rooms looked like it needed replacement. We turned on the AC and the same smelly air started coming out of the AC! We decided not to use the AC for the rest of the stay. Bedding was clean for the most part. One of the beds in our room was off center from the bed frame for some reason and tipped over when we sat on the edge. Our stay was super quiet which was nice.

Oh my word, what can I say. Quality Inn and Suites in Georgetown, DE. Is in serious need of attention. ||The positive. |I arrived early. The front desk staff member was courteous and I was allowed to have an early check in, which I appreciate. ||During my stay, I was able to get extra clean towels, the staff member was pleasant about it. ||The room bathroom sink, shower and tub, and toilet looked clean |Bed linens were clean. |Towels were clean. ||Breakfast had an ok selection of things to choose from. The nice lady cleaning the breakfast area was friendly and said hello each morning. ||The Negative. |The stair carpet was very dirty. |There was one of those cereal chex pieces on the stairs. It was there for the whole time I stayed at the hotel. I stayed 3 nights. No one had vacuumed that chex piece up. It's probably still there. Lol.||I didn't like where the elevator was located. It is hidden away in a dark area. There is furniture and things stacked up in the area. ||For the hotel room, other than the items I listed in the positive list. |The rest of the room was dirty. |The bottom shelf of the sink vanity was thick with dust. |The floor was dirty. |The bathroom door was so dirty around the door handle and down the sides. |The AC unit was very dirty. Thick with dust And debris on and in the vent slats. |The windowsill was dirty. It looked like it hadn't been wiped in months. | A small insect was flying around the window. |There was also a dead fly on the floor.|I used disinfectant wipes and wiped everything down that I could in the room because everything seemed grimy. |I went through at least half of one those wipe containers. |Each wipe I used was gray with grime and dust. |The floor was so dirty. Don't wear white socks, they'll turn black. |It's probably the cleanest room in the hotel now that I wiped everything down thoroughly. ||One thing I didn't find comforting was that |Everyday when I went to my vehicle there would always be people hanging outside somewhere near the front or at the side of the building, standing around talking and smoking. | I don't know if they were guests or staff or whoever. ||One incident I encountered one evening, there were a couple of females next to the building, then they walked to the hotel parking lot. They were arguing or having some kind of dispute. The one female walked back past my grandson and I towards the side of the building again and I think she was crying. So I looked over my shoulder at her and she started yelling and cussing the "f" word at us, being hostile because I happened to look across at her. I told my grandson to walk quickly so we could get back into the hotel. I don't like drama, it unsettled me and effected me for a while after. I was only looking across at her as I was concerned and I'm a sensitive person, so when someone is crying, I tend to want to make sure that they're okay. ||Another night in the same hallway where my room was, a man was loitering and seemed disoriented, he seemed to be intoxicated as he was swaying and not standing straight. He wasn't going into a room, he was just lurking in the hallway.||If you have to be somewhere early in the morning around 7 am, allow extra time to get out of the hotel parking lot onto the highway. The Dunkin Donuts next door have their drive thru and traffic have to come through the hotel parking lot to access it. |Traffic was entering the parking lot from the highway and turning in front of me to get into the DD drive thru line, where I was trying to exit to get onto the highway. It was congested and a bit of a mess each morning. ||I was scheduled to stay at the hotel again the following week and I had previously reserved a room. |After all the things that I had experienced, I canceled the reservation. I just wasn't comfortable with the idea of staying there again. |I stayed somewhere else in the area that was far more cleaner, with fewer issues and cost $20 extra a night. It was worth paying a little extra for a cleaner, much more pleasant experience.

Smelly , dirty , loud ... Once we walked in to the lobby we knew this was a mistake. The room was worse ! Mold in bathroom and the room had a stale odor and the carpet was gross! Left our shoes on ! We ere actually better off loosing the money and went next door to Microtel ! Or sleeping in our car! Pay the extra few dollars and stay somewhere else! Trust this review! Manager reached out via email and did nothing to make this bad situation right , and asked to give another try!

In all fairness, we knew what we were buying. The hotel is 12 minutes from the sporting complex we were attending for the weekend. Hotels further out along the shore in August are simply to expensive. The room was not bad but mediocre. The kids kept pointing out stains in the rugs and couch to me, but I checked the beds when we got there and didn't find any signs of bedbugs. In fact, the bedding seemed very crisp and white. The bathroom also was very clean. They must have ants though because I saw 2 and found an ant trap tucked between the bed and the nightstand.
Breakfast was good. Hot eggs and sausage each day, bagels, cereal and coffee. No frills, just food.
The other occupants were quiet. Some of the other occupants are definitely long term residents, and some appeared to be construction workers. There was the aroma of marijuana in the halls but not in the room.
All in all I couldn't complain for a cheap hotel in the middle of peak season. Would I stay there for vacation of we weren't there for a tournament... no. Would I stay again for a tournament in peak season... sure.

If you want to go back in time 30 years, this is for you. 1st off, reception staff were nice, but the room we had was so dated and not clean. One of the worst rooms we ever experienced. Bathroom door looks like it never had been cleaned, toilet seat a different color, the shower head was nasty too. The ironing board looked like it was used a 1,000 times and stained. The room window had bugs, the room above you can hear people walking, the lobby area so loud that you can hear it from the room. I dont think Ive ever posted a negative review, but had to. Hotel needs a full renovation.

There are few recent reviews for this property, so I'm sharing my experience. It was an overnight weeknight road trip stay. The motel offered the normal Quality Inn room. It was clean and comfortable, and the water was hot enough for a nice shower. The WiFi had problems, and we were told that it might have been caused by some recent servicing. We had a nice quiet night. The breakfast was OK, with some hot items available.||There were a number of people around the property. We discovered that some folks down on their luck were being housed here. This did not affect our visit, but some people could be put off by it.||Finally, we felt this was overpriced. We paid a Senior rate, and the charge was over $150 for a $100-$120 experience.

Booked here instead of Rehoboth Beach because it was cheaper. My mom lives in Lewes and we didn’t want to pay resort prices for a quick weekend visit. The front desk was extremely friendly and helpful…but that’s where the good part ended. We got to the room and no towels or wash cloths. Back to the front desk. The hallway carpets were absolutely filthy. And the hallways smelled like weed. The room had a stale cigarette odor. Hotel is supposed to be no smoking, I guess weed doesn’t count? We got breakfast at a nearby McDonald’s, even though we could have eaten free at the hotel. The thought of eating anything provided by them turned our stomachs. The impression we got was that the property owner has no interest in spending money on it. Funny thing…neither do I. We won’t be back.
