Clean, affordable, had good amenities. Better than expected. Not a 3 or 4 star hotel but it absolutely fit the bill for my stay looking for a place to crash for a night after visiting a friend in Duncannon. Water in shower was hot, air conditioning (heater) worked. Only minor annoyance was that when the heater kicked in, the bearings sounded a bit like a car alarm going off outside for a few seconds.

We've stayed a full week due to issues with pipes freezing. They've been extremely accommodating, especially given we have one person who is legally handicapped and another on crutches, making sure to provide a room in the ground floor with easy access and providing extra pillows for elevation for the broken leg. They are also dog friendly, and we're extremely accommodating with our puppy as well. The rooms are well furnished, beds are extremely comfortable and it is very clean. House keeping stopped by daily with a soft knock to see if we needed anything. The only minor inconvenience was the sound of hammering and drilling because they are renovating but even that was rather quiet and from what I can tell they never started before 10 am and ended around 6 or 7 pm. Over all it was an amazing experience and if we ever need to stay at a motel again this'll be our first pick.

What an awful place to stay. Dirty! Pillows were grey. Droplet red stains on the sheets and blankets! And the topper, bed bugs! And they know about them! And then they cook their food in unsanitary ways! But they will tell you it’s for the private residence. Argue with you that you have to discover the bed bugs within 15 minutes to get your money back. Disgusting place. Disgusting owners and managers!

First, it's important to keep in perspective where this motel is located (very rural Pennsylvania) and the rate ($70/night for us). It is somewhat tattered (see pics), but it's clean and the staff were very accommodating. We asked for extra bath towels (the ones supplied were very small) and a second roll of tp, which they delivered to our room. The WIFI and cable TV worked fine. The hvac unit was effective and relatively quiet (no rattles or loud fans).

I'd strongly suggest staying in a back side unit because the truck noise from Route 22 is very substantial. The backside rooms are sheltered from that.

So, clean room with helpful staff for a very low rate. As long as you recognize what you're getting, you should be happy.

One of the nicest motels I've been to. The carpet could use a little love but other than that I was pleasantly surprised. It was nicer than some Hotel rooms I've stayed at.

We needed a place to spend a night in this general vicinity, and I chose the Red Carpet Inn based on online reviews and the low price. It has been a long time since we stayed in an old-fashioned motel, and I wasn't sure what we'd find. A mild moldy odor when I went to the office to check in did not increase my comfort level, as I waited for the clerk who finally showed up. The room turned out to be fine for our needs, old but clean, comfortable, well-maintained, and well-equipped including even microwave and refrigerator. Very slight odor, my wife thought mildew, overcome by burning the vanilla candle I take when I travel. Minor problem with the sticking flapper valve in the toilet. Parking the car outside the door of our room was super-convenient. There is a lot of highway noise from the highway just in front of the motel, but it did not bother us. I would stay there again. As we expected, no other frills, like breakfast, were included. The room was small but adequate. We had a little difficulty getting connecting to wifi, but once we did it worked fine.
