PS: Pace of play was as fast as you choose, layed back pace. But can go quickly if needed.

Typical Dye designed, like playing golf on ski mogul hills. Staff and starters friendly. Course in pretty good shape transitioning to summer.

First time playing here, and I had a sunday 1:30 start. Finished 17 in the dark at 5:30. Definitely could have used the (unfriendly) ranger's help speeding things up. The course photos must have been from glory days past, as it's looking much less manicured. It definitely has a Pete Dye feel, but they've lost some of that by filling in so many bunkers. Conditions were OK. I would play again for the right price. The ranger also forced Randoms to pair up in carts.

Fun track with tons of potential. Oh, and look out for Javalina! Also saw some coyotes.

Loved this course! First time playing it and would love to return to avenge the punishment it doled out on me. Nearly every hole the grass was in great shape. Some spots here and there where there was too much cart traffic. Greens ran true. Scenery was fantastic with lots of large cactus.

Excellent course! The course was in great condition when I played. First time here, and I will absolutely be back!
This is definitely a challenging course. Fairways are a good size and hittable, but the greens are tough - they're fast, very small, and guarded by bunkers and large hills that fall down and below the green. Good approach shots with the right distances are a must to go low.
Overall, it's definitely a course to add to your list! Better than most local courses and a challenge for even the best golfers!

Came here for a wedding. As a venue its clean, and easy to get around. It's a great place to take photos, golf, eat, or just have a gathering. There's plenty of rooms for all different uses. Would definitely come back!

Red Mountain Ranch is a Pete Dye course that apparently fell into some disrepair some years ago. If so, after some reinvestment and an engaged member community, they have brought it back to to premiere winter conditions. The rolling elephant mounds and deep sand traps are classic PD designs - even a center fairway drive may have a slight slope setting the ball slightly above or below your feet.

The various obstacles create a number challenges that will force you to decide to play it safe or clear a pit / sand / elephant mound or water - confidence is critical.

The greens were rolling slow in Dec 2023 - but the breaks and slopes make me happy they were.

Overall - an outstanding day on a challenging course in good winter shape.

Terrible course complete and total trash. Not a single even tee box. The greens range from dirt to long fuzzy grass to some strange plant life that is certainly not grass. The views are nice but it’s surrounded by houses.

Save your money and your gas and just scratch this one off your list
