If you’re considering booking a planner, 1) you should DEFINITELY do it, and 2) you should book Reno-Tahoe Enchanted Events!

For our August 2024 wedding, we booked Amanda in early January and got the partial-planning package. As two working professionals without much extra time, but who are a little type-A, our goal with booking a partial-planner instead of day-of coordinator was to get extra help staying on top of timelines and details, as well as getting vetted vendor recommendations.
Amanda is super organized and on top of things, and we were never worried that things would fall through the cracks or we would forget to do something important because we had her (we joked she was our “planning insurance”). The partial-planning package allowed us to make all decisions on our own, but with less stress and more fun.

All of the vendor suggestions she gave us were great – we would talk with her about what was important to us in each vendor, and she took those requirements and provided us vetted vendors, usually 1-2 that we could then chat with on our own and book. We did check out some vendors on our own, but we ended up choosing all of her recommendations for florist, makeup, bartending and catering. We felt like this part of the partial planning service was extra helpful, because while her standard booklet of vendors was ~amazing~, she was able to give us some off-book vendors that she thought we would like a lot, or that she knew were in our budget.

We would have saved a ton of time if we had just gone with her recommendations from the start instead of also researching other options (that’s our recommendation to other couples – save yourselves the trouble and go with the recommendations). An extra bonus for going with Amanda’s recommended vendors is that she already has great rapport with them, so communication between Enchanted Events & our vendors was flawless.

Wedding day went off without a hitch. I (bride) wasn’t thinking about a single detail, because I knew Amanda and her assistant would have everything covered. Our biggest surprise of the day was that it was super windy, so Amanda worked with our venue to drop down the flaps of the reception tent. This kept our guests all warm during dinner, and kept all of our table decor from blowing away. I only learned about the chaos that the wind caused (before the flaps were dropped) the next day – which was exactly what I wanted. Amanda knew that we trusted her to make snap decisions, and that we didn’t want to be included in any “emergency” decisions.

Our wedding was at Mitchell’s Mountain Meadows in Sierraville. It was fairly off-grid (no cell reception; the property used well water and generated electricity via solar grids & generators). Amanda hadn’t done a wedding here before, so we met to do a walk-through together and she made sure we were prepared for off-grid scenarios (add an oven to the rental, make sure there was enough electric capacity for all of our vendors, etc). It was helpful to know we were all familiar with the property, and also helped us make a couple of layout changes pre-wedding day.

A final shoutout: it was really nice not managing the rentals orders ourselves (that was our only contract/order that Amanda handled herself). In the week or two before the wedding, the rental company needs final numbers for all rentals – that was a pretty crazy time, so it felt like a blessing to have one less vendor to confirm things with at that point.

We’re really grateful for all the help and peace of mind we got from hiring Enchanted Events. Highly recommend booking them, and booking ASAP!

We also really loved taking sunset photos, which we almost decided to skip after living in the moment a little too much with guests. Thankfully, Amanda was there to talk some sense into us because we would have had major regrets if we did not stick with our plan to take sunset photos with our dog. These ended up being our best photos from the day!

Because of Amanda and her team, we were really able to live in the moment without a care on our special day. After dancing the night away and celebrating late with friends, we were so relieved when we woke up in the morning to be surrounded by the sentimental items and decor that had adorned our wedding. Amanda made sure to carefully arrange and place each item with so much care, making our room feel like a sanctuary of cherished memories. Somehow everything made it back to our room and nothing was lost. To me, this was what was the most impressive part of working with Reno Tahoe Enchanted Events.

Not only is Amanda exceedingly professional, she also has an incredible sense of humor and a warm, friendly approach that instantly put us at ease.
