Staff here were amazing. We stayed for 2 months while our home underwent repairs from a burst pipe. Janet who handles breakfast and James at the desk were particularly accommodating but all the staff were amazing. 10/10 they were the best. I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed here with my family over Thanksgiving weekend and the staff might have been the friendliest hotel staff I have ever encountered. James at the front desk was helpful and delightful over our entire stay. They went out of their way to meet the needs of their guests and greeted everyone at free breakfast. Highly encourage anyone to stay there.

I was pleasantly shocked at how nice this hotel was. We stayed here twice (once on each end of our vacation) and both rooms we had were super nice and they were so big. The hotel staff were also very friendly and super helpful. Breakfast was typical hotel breakfast but it worked for us. If we are ever in the area again we'll definitely be staying here again. Highly recommended.

James was wonderful and the person overnight was great too, very accommodating like bringing extra sheets/ towels and getting us a late checkout. The suites were very spacious but the decor is definitely outdated and has seen better days. Downtown Hartford doesn’t have that many restaurants and the one next door unfortunately shut down so be mindful that ubereats will be your friend for late nights. Overall good experience despite not being at the typical residence inn standard at other locations

Excellent Location in downtown Hartford. The pizza place next door that is attached was excellent and we recommend going a few blocks away to get ice cream. The room itself was very spacious but an older room with worn furniture. The location gets a five but the furniture and carpet get a rating of three.

The business needs to invest heavily on its rooms’ cleanliness and hygiene. The rooms have poor lighting and tend to give a depressing vibe. The hygiene levels are low. The housekeeping has to be requested/scheduled or they do not come to do it. On the fourth day of our stay, I saw a mouse in our room sniffing on my toddler’s bottle under the table, which creeped us out and we left the place immediately.

The front desk and team were really helpful when I complained, and they were generally kind and friendly too through out.

Exceptional service, great location with secure parking on-site. The decor was a little outdated and the sofabed and carpets could use a deep steam cleaning. Otherwise, it was a very comfortable stay. The loft bedroom above the living room was a nice touch, and the room was clean and quiet overall. Easy access to I-91 less than a minute away. Would definitely stay again - and recommend while in downtown Hartford.

As a loyal Marriott Bonvoy member since 1989, I have stayed in Marriott hotels, J.W. Marriott hotels, and have stayed in Marriott Residence Inn locations elsewhere and was pleasantly surprised at the high quality of the hotel, rooms and amenities.

However, when I stayed at the Hartford Residence Inn for one night (9/21-9/22). I reserved a one-bedroom suite room and was given Room 315. I CANNOT say the same about this location. As soon as I walked into the room I noticed a small yet well designed kitchen area, a very comfortable bedroom, BUT the living area looked like a storage room for mismatched furniture. The TV didn't work.. There side chair was broken (I sat in it and sunk down into it). There was a small round table with only 3 chairs and the bedroom didn't have a chair at all. It looked like a whole lot of nothing with every piece of furniture save for the small table, pushed up against the wall. I had originally stated that there would be 4 in my room. The lack of extra chairs around the small round table wouldn't have accomodated two let alone four people well,. At over $400 for the night stay, the experience was unacceptable.

I will NOT be staying at this Marriott Residence Inn again. This property definitely missed the Marriott quality mark.
