Our recent experience with Davis far exceeded our expectations. First, he communicated regularly to answer questions and provide tour details from the time we booked until he texted his arrival at our hotel. He was both prompt and prepared when we hopped in his truck for our amazing outing. We made a number of stops for incredible photo ops as we headed south out of Anchorage, and Davis shared a ton of information about the area, wildlife, history, etc. We thoroughly enjoyed the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, especially with Davis along to give us some "behind the scenes" info. While attentive and approachable, he also gave us time to ourselves. And lunch . . . I still dream about that grilled cheese and roasted red pepper tomato bisque! For an interesting, fun tour with a unique culinary twist, RL AK Outdoors is the only way to go!

We went on a day excursion with Davis and had an amazing time! I couldn’t recommend this tour more! If you’re visiting Alaska and want to see the beauty of this great state look no further! Davis has extensive knowledge of the state and its history. He was able to tell us many historical facts and stories of the places we visited. Davis was extremely accommodating to our needs and adjusted the day to ensure we would have a good time within our abilities. The dedication Davis has to the state of Alaska is unparalleled and makes for an amazing time with a passionate guide. He brought us to both well known places and tucked away places that only the locals would know about. We got to see the animals of Alaska, amazing glaciers, waterfalls, and so much more! Let me start off just by saying that this trip was absolutely life-changing for me! The hardest part of planning a trip for me is making sure that I know where to go and what not to miss and effectively organizing that in my trip. I literally ONLY had to figure out how I was going to get there and Davis took care of everything else. The locations that we went were breathtaking and I don't think I'd have changed anything about it. The scenery of Alaska is like nowhere else that I've ever seen and Davis made sure that I was fully engulfed in the beauty the entire trip. I even got to see my first glacier in person! I was amazed at the organization and preparation that's put into these trips and Davis' attention to detail is immaculate. Hot coffee in the morning, fantastic gourmet grilled cheeses, pasta, meats & vegetables, etc. I didn't know you could eat so well in the wilderness! ? but really, nothing could be more satisfying after a long day of hiking and exploring, that really was such a treat every time. We even stopped off into a field to pick some blueberries we saw on the side of the road! RL AK Outdoors is an exceptional company and Davis is SUCH a down-to-earth guy that could make anyone feel like home in the middle of the breathtaking wilderness that Alaska has to offer. He's clearly an individual that is passionate about sharing what he loves with others and made it incredibly fun & stress free. I left Alaska pretty much figuring out how soon I can come back and visit. Literally obsessed ? thank you SO much, Davis! I highly recommend this trip for ANYONE and everyone looking to do some REAL wilderness exploring without having to worry about the gear, the food, where to go, what kind of conditions to be prepared for, etc. Outstanding experience and I will do it again. Do noooooot sleep on this!!!!

All inclusive camping experience with knowledgeable local! My friends and I were able to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Alaskan wilderness without having to worry about any cooking, set up, or gear. Davis is not only a fantastic chef but his knowledge of his state made it feel like my we had our own personal tour guide. The four of my friends and I were very comfortable in the two story tent and sleeping gear provided. I could not recommend this tour more!

I had one of the best days of my life thanks to RL AK Outdoors. Davis is very knowledgeable about the state and wildlife. I learned so many fun and interesting facts while seeing some stunning views. I will definitely be doing another tour next time I visit Alaska.

Highly recommend! Took a day tour with Davis and it was a great time! He drove us up to Hatcher Pass for a beautiful hike. He was very knowledgeable and made sure we had everything we needed. Snacks, drinks, binoculars to look for wildlife… After the hike he had a quick setup where we got to sit in chairs he brought while he cooked amazing grilled cheese sandwiches and coffee. Thank you for a great day! Will definitely be doing a tour again.

A perfect way to travel with knowledgeable guides and safety in mind! Our guide, Davis, was happy to answer our questions and share his stories about life in Alaska. A long term resident, he had a lot to share about local wildlife, seasonal changes, hiking conditions, ect. Overall a fulfilling and adventurous afternoon. Additionally we'd made an unplanned whim stop next to the Lil Susitna, which ended up being our dinner spot as well. A warm meal, a great guide and beautiful weather made for just an awesome day.

Cheers to camping with Davis in the land of the midnight sun! RLAK exceeded my expectations and set a high bar for future camping trips. Our base camp was on the Knik River with superior views of Pioneer Peak. I relaxed around a campfire and gazed at bush planes flying above. Davis provided a premiere experience with chef prepared meals and comfortable sleeping arrangements. I would highly recommend his services for groups looking to brave the Alaskan wilderness.
