I had the pleasure of staying at The Road Less Traveled for 3 nights. ||||Bill and Terri were warm and completely accommodating. The property is wonderful with an immaculately landscaped yard and a spacious - and spotless - living area for guests. The breakfasts were absolutely wonderful too. (See if you can get Terri to make her pumpkin pancakes!) ||||If you're going to Elk country, this is an excellent choice - especially when compared to the "just OK" hotels in St. Mary's.||||My only regret is that there's no way to rate higher than 5 stars!

We were lucky enough to stumble across their website, when planning a trip to see family in PA. We have 3 kids, so the suite (sleeps 6) was perfect. So much better (and cheaper!) than the only other option of adjoining hotel rooms in Clearfield.||The house is up in the hills, so quiet and tranquil. The kids loved keeping any eye out for the deer, wild turkeys, hummingbirds and bears that come to visit. ||The owners, Bill and Terri, were wonderfully warm and welcoming. The accommodations are comfortable and scrupulously clean. There's a full kitchen, with dishes, fridge (stocked with juice, milk etc), cooking utensils. Iron and ironing board in the bathroom.||Terri's breakfast were amazing and alone worth the stay. Pancakes, bacon, eggs, sticky buns, french toast, muffins... Our kids also loved the amazing chocolate milk from a local dairy, with which Terri kept us supplied. ||Needless to say, we'll definitely be back!|

I wish I could give 6 stars on this B&B service. It's very clean, very beautiful landscaping, and quiet. We have been in many B&B, AirB&B and hotels since we are the mountain lovers, this one is the best. Staying here for a whole week we love the rustic and artistic layout, the decorations inside and the yard, and we love the landlord Terri, a superwoman who is so diligent so neat. You won't be disappointed if you go there.

Excellent place to stay, if you are looking for rest, silence, nature. Breakfasts Terri made were delicious, nice conversations.Website gives realistic images. We loved cooking for ourselves in the kitchen, having meals in front of the apartment. In short, just come and see!

Absolutely wonderful. Would highly recommend staying here!!! Wonderful owners very friendly. We went as strangers and left as friends. Very peaceful setting. Excellent home made breakfast. Very clean and Homie feel. Loved sitting on the patio and listening to Crickets, frogs and owls vs staying at hotel and hearing traffic and noisy neighbors

Deer feeding in the front yard, immaculately clean and spacious accommodations, gorgeous home, beautiful setting, homemade food, and kind hosts that go way beyond the norm to meet your needs, this is The Road Less Traveled B & B! Well worth getting off the highway for and wandering a few miles into the countryside. As a matter of fact, we would go way out of our way to spend the night here again, or even make it a destination. And to top it all off, the price was very reasonable. Do yourself a favor and find a route that will take you here!

Beautiful location! Clean, cozy accommodations, delicious food and a friendly, sincere host. We celebrated a wedding anniversary October 2015 and had such a great time we can't wait to come back!

Contacted Terri by email in late January,to check availability,and thankfully our desired night was available.A couple of emails to and fro,all were answered promptly.Left Stoney Creek Ont., on the Wednesday noon,and were in Clearfield PA,that afternoon.Found the B&B,(with only one wrong turn!),and were absolutely gobsmacked.The natural beauty immediately surrounding the B&B is amazing.Although a misty damp evening,a quick walk around the grounds was awe inspiring,just listening to......................nothing.No traffic,no aeroplanes,just the breeze,the leaves.||We came across a friend of the hostess,who brought us to the door.Terri greeted us,with a smile and a warm hug for my wife and daughter.||After pleasantries,and directions to a local eatery,we set off for the 15 minute drive to Clearfield.||When we came back to the B&B we joined Terri for a cuppa and a pleasant chat before bedtime.||Breakfast was served about 8.30,and we all had breakfast together,chatting about everything and nothing.Try the pumpkin pancake!I`m converted!||Wonderful hostess.Pleasant,friendly,genuine,honest,intelligent,talented and a beautiful all round person.||Location,exquisite.Yes,the road less travelled,is remote. If easy off/easy on is your thing,maybe not the place for you.Shiny hotels and facades have their place,this is something wonderfully different.||Terri worked on the furniture herself,and she has taste!||This gave us a great taste of what real America is all about.||We will be back.||I simply cannot recommend this place to travellers enough.You WILL NOT be disappointed.||The only negative point of our visit was that we didn`t book longer to stay!
