Roaring Brook Ranch Resort - Lake George, New York

This was our inaugural visit to the splendid resort nestled in the midst of the woods near Lake George. My family accompanied me on this delightful sojourn to celebrate my birthday. We stayed at the resort and explored the enchanting Lake George. The lake itself is a marvellous place, boasting a beautiful beach for swimmers, boat rides to the mountainous regions, and the end of the lake. The surrounding area is adorned with numerous national parks, making it a haven for nature enthusiasts.

One must have a car to navigate around, as there is a nearby town where one can indulge in shopping, procuring food, or dining out. The resort features its own kitchen, though we primarily chose to dine outside. The accommodations were rather modest, constructed of wood and exuding the charm of a classic resort. While not overly luxurious, the tranquility and relaxation we experienced more than compensated for it. We truly relished our stay.

The resort rates were quite reasonable, and the parking lot was ample. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. They were well-aware of our dietary restrictions, ensuring we did not consume anything that was not halal. Many food items may contain extracts from non-halal meats, particularly marshmallows with gelatin. To our delight, they arranged for marshmallows suitable for vegans, allowing us to enjoy our s'mores. We had a splendid time roasting marshmallows over a live campfire, adding chocolate and crackers.

It was a truly memorable experience, blending the simple pleasures of nature with the warmth of family celebrations.

We stayed there in 2023 for our son's lacrosse tournament and the wife's birthday! We had a great time. And ended up stayed an extra day over. The grounds were well maintained and our room was clean. We did the horseback trail ride"good fun" Hardeep and his daughter were very helpful. The staff were quick make us comfortable. But upon booking for next year's trip to the area the following year our reservation were canceled abruptly. Leaving us scrambling for replacement rooms. We would have liked to experience the resort again, but are unsure the open status. If possible we would look forward to some type of communication.

We stayed here last weekend and had a great time, the host was great and friendly, shared with us his vision for the place since he is the new owner as of 90 days ago. The place is going to amazing according to his vision and intentions for the renovations. The pool was really clean. The bed and room were very comfortable. The camp fire and s’amores with the other guests was fun. When we are back in the area this will be the place we plan on staying. We recommend to others to stay here and enjoy and the amenities available, more to come in 2024.

They have shut down for the summer. We have our daughter's wedding in July and all our guests that were traveling from all over the country had reservations. As well as a band we hired for an after hour party there. They did not have the decency to ever speak with us. They just started cancelling everyone's reservations a month before the wedding. We had to drive up there and find out from a construction worker. To this day there has never been any communication. Very unprofessional and unethical. If they reopen I would never trust that they will be dependable. Terrible to deal with. Only giving a star because I have to. DO NOT STAY HERE!!

We spent only a day at this resort and I wish it could have been longer! Went with hubby and friends to celebrate my birthday and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, completely updated. The pool area was brand new and a great place to relax and get some sun. So much to do here! Seeing the horses grazing in the field was a treat and I love the grounds themselves with majestic pines and the fragrance of the Adirondacks puts me at peace. There's a firepit to enjoy in the evening and the sunrise from the rocking chair in the morning made for a perfect coffee time. I did not want to leave. The new owners are absolute gems, you can't find nicer and more accommodating people in this world and we are changed from just meeting them because they are a gracious combination of dynamic and generous, hardworking and attentive. The best hosts you could have and an inspiration to talk to them about their vision for this beautiful property. Do not miss an opportunity to spend time here...we can't wait to return!

Had a great time. The service was excellent Hardyp was always available to help us and with a smile. Glad we went and stayed there…..the location was close to everything, the room was clean and spacious, AC was good, bathroom was clean. We were 2 adults and 2 kids age 8 & 9 so they had fun in pool. Will go again looking forward to seeing the place grow since under New Management….

This weekend was great for me and my husband ☺️ It was our anniversary and we had a wonderful stay here. The staff was very good to us and even the owner went out his way to show us an amazing time.They make you feel like family. Please come here and enjoy your stay. We will definitely be back.

It is awesome place with incredible number of entertainments, good service and beautiful view on the mountains and hills (swimming pool, campfire area, horse stable, trails, tent field, sporting courts and woodland, and much more…). The new owner (3 months) is trying to make everything on green. It is only 7 minutes by car to the Lake George. I really recommend, especially if you like horseback riding and nature. They offer huge discounts for a next reservation. What is important, dogs and cats are accepted. Deserved 5 stars, really worth to visit!
