If you have never ride any horse, and just want to enjoy some nice view, I would recommend.

It is only a place for beginners to hang out and have fun, with experience sitting on the horse. But just keep in mind, the horses they provided would not listen to you and only will walk in the slowest possible pace, sometimes not moving at all. It would be a big frustration just moving them to the places you want them to go.

But if you like that, it is good then, since the horses know which way they are going (and where to be lazy)

This means, if you have ANY experience with horseback-riding. Do Not Come Here!

There will not be any space provided for you to do the usual trotting, jumping, running experience. No place to practice, and no horses fit for these roles. The horses here are not train to run, or listen to the people who sit on their back. They are sweet cute ponies, just not suitable for riding.

Also, if you want to board your horses here. I would NOT recommend that. The horses in the stall live in very concerning situation, many of them developing stereotyping behavior (pacing back and forth), and all of them are very dirty, no grooming provided, and poor health condition (snots and runny nose).

Overall, I would not recommend this place to horseback-riding. But I guess if you live in Pittsburgh, you do not have a choice 😛

Words cannot express how absolutely AMAZING our experience was at RHR. Our guide, Savannah G., went so far above and beyond to make sure that our tour was absolutely perfect. My fiancé had planned to propose during our private tour and she took extra measures to ensure that his proposal was private and went perfectly smooth. She even captured photos of the proposal AND she set us up for photos afterwards with the horses, she even coached us on posing so it all looked gorgeous and had a perfect view in the photos. She pulled the whole thing off for us! Now we have the experience we will never forget, and photos to cherish that special day forever. Our horses, Edgar and Apache, were so gentle and affectionate. You can tell they’re well cared for and genuinely love what they do. If you’re considering visiting RHR, don’t hesitate. Book it immediately! We know we plan to come back ASAP!

My daughter and I have been going here for years. Beautiful serene place. Staff is also amazing ! The horses here are all beautiful and I can tell very well taken care of. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to have a fun and beautiful trail ride.

I absolutely loved Rolling Hills Ranch!! We had the best time riding. This location is good for your beginner rider all the way to your advanced rider. There are many different riding trails. If your an experience rider they allow you the freedom to really enjoy the horse the ride and the property!!! The property is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! All of the staff seem to love what they do and you can feel that while your there. Do yourself a favor and get outside and go ride!!!! Thanks Patty can’t wait to return!!!

What an incredible ranch! Very easy to make reservations, the staff is super kind and lovely . The property is on 80 acres of an adventure of different types of terrain. The horses were very docile and easy to ride. The blonde lady we met at the beginning was super cool and helpful seeing who was experienced and who was not. Our guide Jack was super friendly informative and accommodating young gentleman as well! we had so much fun for my little sisters birthday! Thank you Rolling Hills Ranch, we will certainly be looking forward to coming back again!

I took a group of girls out there and they had a blast. The staff there were very friendly. I would recommend if its your kids first time to ride a horse to pick this place. The staff take their time in explaining how to ride the horses. And are very patient with you as well.

I took the 3 grandkids for their birthday. They had a great time. The youngest has gone to two other horse back riding stables. He said this was the best. This is where he wants to come next year. ( The boys are from SC)

I love it here! My fiancé and I visited for the first time this past Saturday. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I rode Petey, and my fiancé rode Dill. It was a great opportunity to introduce him to the equine world since I am someone with riding experience and a lifelong lover of horses. My favorite part was getting to canter in a field! We will definitely be back!
