I want to thank Rt.47 Taxi for a fantastic job getting me to O'Hara airport and back. The driver was very polite and prompt. He picked me up at 5:30 am and 12 days later picked me up at O'Hara at 5:00 pm within 5 minutes of me calling Rt 47 for pickup. They were punctual and very polite. Thank you for making my ride to and from the airport a great experience.

Terrible service. 30 mins late to pick up to go to airport. Driver overslept and over 45 mins late picking up from airport. Absolutely unreliable

Mike was our Driver. He took care of our Luggage and he arrived from his holding area within 15 minutes. This trip was scheduled three and a half weeks out and they were great communicating in text and Emails. I'll use them again.

Used this taxi service a few times within 3 months and the last time will be the last time. Scheduled them to pick me and my wife up at 4:15am for our honeymoon vacation which would get us to ohare well before our flight. The driver calls me at 4:25 to tell me she overslept and she’ll be there soon.. we’ll she didn’t show up til almost 5am which got us to O’Hare after 6am when our flight started boarding at 7. Also their version of “luxury sedan” is a regular minivan nothing special at all. So i won’t be using this company again

What a terrible experience! This company over charged and I have had to call my credit card company to dispute the charge because they wouldn't admit to their mistake. They wouldn't even answer the emails I sent them requesting why I was charged so much. I was attending a wedding in harvard IL and initially requested a charter van for pick up at The Heritage Inn, driving 2 miles down McGuire Rd, and then picking us up after the wedding reception. My quote was $120. I cancelled that request by phone and asked for cab service from the hotel to wedding and back instead at standard mileage/cab rate.When the cabs showed up, we were told it was a flat fee of $60 instead of the mileage rate. When I called and talked to the company and asked why we were being charged the same rate as the charter van, they said "well, that's the rate...that's what we have to charge you" I was so frustrated by having to make many calls during the wedding and reception over this matter, and the wedding reception was rained out, so I cancelled the cab going back to the hotel, but the dispatcher informed me that he was still going to have to charge my card on file. And they did. So now, we're out $120 for cab fare from Harvard to Harvard (roughly 1.5-2 miles.)
It's bad business to change a rate on someone and basically say "we're holding you to it, and if you disagree, we'll charge you anyway!"

Don't use this disorganized, rude company. (the dispatcher was never rude, just the management.)

This is what I get for trying to plan cabs ahead of time. They don't know what they're doing here- PEOPLE FROM CHICAGO (who know how cabs work) DON'T CALL ROUTE 47!

I arrived at Midway and got no information on where the driver was. I had 2 pieces of luggage and had no information where to go. In Atlanta the driver texted me, emailed me and left me a phone message with the door number, color of car, license and name of driver. I got a message from route 47 emailed the night before with car make license plate and name of driver. I am supposed to look for a plate number? I called and 1st call went to answering service. Second call hung up and finally I called my husband at home to help me
Many calls later I got to door 2 where U was directed but it was boarded up so I dragged my bags and me to door1 so I can get out and dragged bags to door 2 falling in the street trying to get to the middle and waited til a kind employee from Midway seeing my frustration came to help. I do not recommend them at all.

Stay away from rt47 taxi! They claim they do not share taxis with other passengers, except they do and they don't tell you until you are in the car. Also they charge you the full airport transfer price AND the other passenger gets charged the full price. So tell me how this company is not ripping people off by charging me $81 and then the same for the other passenger. They were paid $160 for one airport transfer!!!!! That's not the worst part: this all happened at 1:30am when I had to be at work by 6am, I had to go on a nice detour in the middle of the night because the other passenger had to be dropped off first. The last thing ANYONE wants to do is go driving around in the middle of the night after a very long day of traveling. All I wanted to do was get home. So again here's the facts: 1) they absolutely DO shared rides. 2) they will still charge that shared ride as if there were two taxis that drive two separate people home. 3) they will change their rates randomly and the same airport transfer will be more the next time you use them. On their website it says their rates haven't changed since 2016 (look under the FAQ link for yourself. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I also held off on making this review in hopes they would rectify the situation, but all they would do is take off 10%. What a joke. 10% for a huge inconvenience. So that's why i moved forward with my review. I also informed everyone on the Cambridge lakes community Facebook page (that's for people living in the community only) about this situation and to book elsewhere. My mother who lives in del Webb Huntley uses rt47 taxi all the time including all the groups she's in with many people. They are all also going to be avoiding this business. Great job rt47, Trying to make up profit loss because of "delayed/cancelled rides" is going to cost you so much in the end.
