My Experience with this landing has mixed reviews, I’ve fished the Coral Sea, good captain, knowledgeable crew and very experienced in what they do, I would catch or fish the coral sea any day!!, I’ve also fished the stardust a few times and let me say, I’ll never fish that boat again, this captain seems too be a certain kind of way, I’ll leave it at that! the 1st time I fished the stardust we were on the fish, everyone were catching nice quality vermilion rock fish and he seen that folks were catching and he just up and moved the boat for no reason, the only I can give is he didn’t want too see certain fishermen catch the highly sought after Vermilion, on DEC 23rd we fished this boat again, and the captain kept us in 650 plus feet of water, we were stuck on mini chili peppers, he has no regards that people spend their hard earned money to fish! I know it’s not called catching, bug the stardust has gotten there last money from me, there are better boats with much better captains that put you on the fish, he knew a lot of the load didn’t have the gear too fish 650’ he had no regard for us!! I’ll pass on the stardust for the remainder f my life and fish MUCH BETTER BOATS!!! KT.

Just got back from a 4-day dive trip with Channel Islands Expeditions. It was excellent. Captain Ian and his crew were professional and efficient when oversighting the dives and operating the ship. I'm not sure there is a bad dive in the Channel Islands, but the Skipper always brought us to the best of the best (can't beat swimming through a kelp forest with a Giant Sea Bass!). I really looked forward to the chef's breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. And the snacks in-between meals often included sashimi from fish that had just been caught, fresh cookies, or other equally delicious surprises. The divers on our boat ranged in age, experience, and where we call home. That made for delightful evenings where one could always hear a great story. I will be staying in touch with a number of them.

I rented dive gear from Dive Santa Barbara. James and Dan are super knowledgeable and have high quality equipment at great prices. I will definitely be returning to Santa Barbara Landing for future dives. Thanks for the great experience!

Just went to this place. You can rent a speedboat for an hour and drive it yourself which means you can go as fast or as slow as you like in the open waters. It was: AWESOME, STUPENDOUS, EXCITING, EXHILARATING, MIND-BLOWING AND MORE FUN THAN A BARREL OF MONKEYS! A.J. YOU DA MAN, BRO!
