I’ve done the beer tour a couple times in the past and this time when we were in town we did the Tequila & Taco tour and it was amazing. Adam was our tour guide and he was great. We tasted tons of varieties of agave spirits and amazing food. Nothing beats drinking mezcal during sunset at the beach. ✨

Booked an 8 person brewery tour on a Friday afternoon for a Bachelor Party. From the moment I reached out to Scavengers, Zach was quick to respond and happy to help get our tour booked and make recommendations! The pick up spot was a convenient location, and the Swiss Safari Truck was AWESOME driving around downtown San Diego! Great selection of roadbeers as we cruised around downtown. Zach was very knowledgeable about the breweries we visited, and made great recommendations at each stop. Ballast Point had a great tasting room and we had plenty of time to sample 4 beers (large tasting glasses) and hang out. More road beers, then headed to Bay City Brewing. Great outdoor space with lawn games, and more great beers. Zach picked up an a delicious BBQ lunch for us, and we were all definitely buzzed at the end of the tour. We got dropped off at Stone Brewing at the end of the tour since another group was getting picked up there for a tour - excellent call! Zach was fun, personable, and really made this tour enjoyable from start to finish. Would HIGHLY recommend Scavengers for a brewery tour in SD!

I’m not sure why part of the tour involves speeding thru our neighborhood. The participants did seem to be enjoying themselves tho

Driver was initially late to pick us up. Then I broke my cup on accident tour guide didn’t have extra supplies another person on the tour gave me their cup. Didn’t have a way to serve the ice. There isn’t actual tequila bar stops driver pulls on side of the street and gives you a shot. Margaritas supplied are premade seltzers. The nice part was the ocean views. Brought to two hole wall places not anything special. Would’ve preferred to order my own food. Then the second stop ordered French fries and ketchup for us to eat and margaritas were nasty. I was not impressed at all. WASTE OF MONEY!!

I have taken the beer tour a few times before, but this was the first time on the Tequila and Tacos tour. It was awesome! Our tour guide Adam was really knowledgeable and passionate about agave spirits while keeping it fun and interesting. I wasn’t even a fan of tequila before the tour but now I’m excited to try some cool new stuff that I never knew about. We cruised through a few really great spots and ate some of the best tacos I’ve ever had. Added bonus was that it was the evening tour and we saw an amazing sunset while sipping some tasty mezcal. Overall an unforgettable experience - highly recommended.

We've done 2 tours with Scavengers and had an absolute blast both times! Adam was our guide both times and is fantastic! He does an awesome job of customizing the tour to suit your interests. The breweries he recommends are top notch and the beers are amazing. Riding in the Pinzgauer is so much fun! It's the perfect way to experience the San Diego/North County beer scene. I can't recommend these guys enough. You won't regret booking with them!

We went on the tour for my husband’s 40th yesterday. We had a great time! However, we have a couple complaints.. our tour guide Robert seemed zero percent interested in actually doing the tour. He was very quiet, and barely interacted with us. I pictured a super lively, fun outgoing person, that would have made it so much better. He didn’t tell us how to set up the music, we had to figure that out, he took terrible pictures, they were very dark, (you couldn’t have told us?) he served us WARM beer on the tour, which was a total disappointment. Maybe a cooler would be a good idea? Also, they didn’t provide trash bags for the empty cans, he told us just to leave them on the back of the seats, so we ended up with beer on our clothes.. Maybe a trash bag would be nice? We paid a lot of money for this tour and just expected a little more from our tour guide. That being said, we did have a great time, the truck was really cool, the breweries were awesome.
