An Unforgettable Shark Valley Tour! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Shark Valley tram tour was absolutely amazing—truly a life-changing experience! I went in thinking I already knew a lot about the Everglades, but thanks to our phenomenal guides, Dinah and Taylor, I walked away with so much more knowledge and appreciation for this incredible ecosystem. Their expertise, enthusiasm, and humor made the entire tour both educational and so much fun!

We saw tons of wildlife, from alligators to birds and beyond, making every moment exciting. And the observation tower? Absolutely breathtaking—the panoramic views of the Everglades are something you have to see in person.

I highly recommend this tour to anyone and everyone—whether you’re a first-time visitor or a Florida native, it’s an experience you won’t forget!

Best way to see as much of the area as possible in a decent amount of time. We did the 4pm tour on 3/13, which finished up around 630pm. Saw at least 25 unique gators, one of the three crocodiles known to the area and several beautiful birds.

Our driver Juan was awesome at getting us close to the wildlife and Ricky narrated a fun, educational tour throughout. The tower at the midway point was an easy, sloped ramp with breathtaking views of the valley.

Special treat was seeing a Black Crowned Night Heron stop and hangout on the river where we were able to watch it fish. The park rangers said they aren't spotted often, which made for a memorable day.

We had a great time on the tram and with our driver Bethany and tour guide Juan. They stopped for most of the wildlife and provided fun and accurate information.

BE AWARE, Arrive early! We booked our tram tickets well in advance and arrived 30 minutes early for our 2pm tour, but that still wasn't enough time. We sat in the entry line for 40+minutes due to the parking lot being full. They only allowed one car to enter when one car exited. We were able to call the tram tour company who graciously pushed us to the 3pm tour.

TL;DR: Shark Valley Tram Tours at Everglades National Park is a must-do. Amazing wildlife, knowledgeable guides, and a visit to the Shark Valley observation tower make it worth every penny. Plan extra time for the entrance line.

Shark Valley Tram Tours, located at the Shark Valley entrance of Everglades National Park, is an authorized concessionary for the National Park Service—and they deliver an unforgettable experience! I took the 9:30 AM tour on a Sunday with Ricky and Forrest, and it was absolutely amazing. We saw countless alligators, a crocodile, and so many birds and other wildlife. Because it was early, the alligators were out basking in the sun, and Forrest shared so much fascinating knowledge about their behavior and the ecosystem. Ricky did an excellent job spotting wildlife and ensuring everyone on the tram got a chance to see and take photos.

The tour is 15 miles round trip, lasts about two hours, and includes a stop at the observation tower, which offers stunning views. At just $33, it’s an incredible value for the amount you see and learn. Just be sure to give yourself plenty of time to get through the entrance line, as the single-lane road with a pay booth can back up. Highly, highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting the Everglades!

If you want to get a quick (2 hours) of the Everglades, then this is a great option. They cover a large a significant part of the park that would otherwise take longer if you were walking/biking!

The guides are extremely knowledgeable and answered all of our questions! They also stopped half way so you can go to the tower and admire the Everglades from the top!

This was a leisure and educational tram tour ride for about two hours. It drives along a fifteen mile flat loop route. Any member of the family can enjoy this experience. The tram tour is a third party. Our guides were passionate and friendly. They were informative and made the ride enjoyable. They were able to stop and point out interesting information and points of interest. Halfway thru the tour, there's an observation tower stop. It has a beautiful aerial view of the everglades. There are also port a potties here. The permanent restroom facilities here were closed. We were able to see alligators, birds, and fauna. This was a memorable experience.

The Shark Valley Tram Tour is an excellent way to explore the Everglades and observe alligators in their natural habitat. This 2-hour tour is well worth the ticket price, offering numerous sightings of alligators and other wildlife within the national park. A highlight of the tour is a brief stop at the Observation Tower, which provides a stunning 360-degree view of the expansive landscape. To ensure a spot on the tour, I’d highly recommended to call ahead and reserve your seats, especially during peak tourist season starting in December, as they tend to book up quickly.

Awesome ride, very worthwhile and fun. Saw maybe 50 alligators, 1 crocodile, and dozens of local birds including the Great Blue Heron and the Anhinga. The ride is 2 hrs long but it lasted 2 hours and 30 min, the tour guide spent more time explaining.

The driver is very considerate, made sure to drive slowly around wildlife to make sure everyone got a nice picture

We had to wait 5 hours to get on a tour after buying a ticket though, because it's so popular, so I recommend buying a ticket online in advance. The visitor center is a nice place to wait as well, friendly rangers and prices of food and souvenirs are also very cheap.
