My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 60 minute carriage ride with Bill and Bobbie. The couple are a professional and personable team, greeting us by name upon arrival. The carriage was comfortable and we were provided blankets to keep us warm on the cool and breezy day, so don't let cooler temps prevent you from booking your ride. During the ride, Bobbie shared her knowledge of the property and gave us all a glimpse of orchard life. Bill confidently lead the team of horses and interjected his own anecdotes along the route as we passed a small group of elk and through a Christmas tree farm. They also took us to different areas of their orchard and provided a photo opportunity atop the highest part of their property with a beautiful backdrop overlooking the valley below. The tour ends back at the charming red barn with an opportunity to feed not just the team of horses that led the ride, but the rest of the 4 legged family. We enjoyed feeding them all carrots and a few apple slices before saying goodbye. Even the ride out to the farm ( about 20 mins from Gettysburg) was charming. Plenty of farm stands to stop at along your way and a newer museum called Beyond the Battlefiled made the short trip even better. If you are in the Gettysburg area, be sure to book a ride with Silvershire Farm!!! You won't be dissappointed!

This was one of the coolest and best experiences we've ever had. Not only do you get an amazing carriage ride through the beautiful countryside and orchard but you learn so much about the orchard and so much other stuff that goes into it. The best part for me was getting to pet and give snacks/veggies to the horses afterward 🙂 ..10/10.. we will definitely be returning for the holiday season!

Bobbi and Bill are two of the nicest people you will ever meet. The horse and carriage ride was both beautiful and informative. The apple blossoms were stunning! It was interesting to learn about the fruit orchards, as well as the amazing Shire horses. When the tour was over, we were invited to meet all of the horses and feed them carrots. Simply put, anyone visiting Gettysburg needs to take a tour with Silvershire Farms. What an experience! We will be back!

This is one of the nicest places to visit. The farm is beautiful and the owners (Bobbi and Bill) are two of the nicest people you will ever meet. The horses are stunning. Even though they are young the carriage ride was beautiful, informative, and right on point. Learning about Shire horses was awesome. I do believe my favorite experiences was feeding the horses carrots at the end of the ride. We will be back in November for the Christmas experience.

Strong recommendation for Bill and Bobbie’s horse-drawn carriage rides!! It’s my first time to take the horse-drawn carriage ride and it’s definitely amazing! We had a really great time at Silvershire farm! It supposed to be 8 people altogether for this ride but due to some unexpected reasons they couldn't make it, so the ride was just Bill and Bobbie and two of us! It took us one hour to visit around the orchards and countryside on the carriage. We had 2 lovely black horses to carry us, how amazing that the bigger one was the baby lol! The farm view was amazing (a lot of cute animals and plants!) and there’re so many apple trees!! (Bobbie told us that this is the 4th biggest apple farm in US!) It's very hot outside even it’s just 10am in the morning (our two horses sweated a lot!) but we didn’t feel the heat on the carriage, it’s actually cool! You should definitely give it a try in summer! But in fall it’ll be even prettier with apples on the trees! Bill and Bobbie are very nice couple and they’re very patient. They introduced to us a lot about the farm, apples, horses, etc. all way along and also gave us a lot of good Gettysburg tourist suggestions. At the end of the ride, they even invited us to feed the horses! It’s so cute to see them eat the carrots! It's definitely a memorable experience for me! We’ll come again in fall when the apples are all around!

Bill and Bobbie are amazing! Not only was this tour beautiful, but it was also incredibly informative. This tour perfectly captures the essence of Adams County.

At the end of the tour, everyone has the opportunity to treat these lovely creatures as a gesture of gratitude for guiding us on this journey. Thank you Bill and Bobbie for the wonderful tour!

I give the experience a 10/10! My husband and I were out for our 15th wedding anniversary. Our prior plans were ruined by weather. We happened upon the tour information in a magazine at our hotel and I am SO GLAD! The owners were so friendly and full of really interesting information. The animals were absolutely beautiful. I enjoyed seeing all the scenery and different places around the orchards and farm fields. I have never seen an elk in real life so that was a really great surprise too. I would/already have recommended this to friends to try out!

Bill and Bobbie have such a beautiful property and horses. A group of us were lucky enough to have perfect weather for a ride on the farm and through the surrounding fields taken by two Shires- Mackenzie and Markie who were also great. We learned about all of the different crops and trees that are grown at their farm and surrounding farms and also met some reindeer friends along the way. If you are looking for a beautiful scenic horse and carriage ride in the country hills, go to Silvershire Farms! I can't imagine how beautiful it is in the other seasons!
