Mike was an extremely nice guide with good equipment. We did two afternoon trips because the mornings were already booked (he’s BUSY, get in line)..we landed several fish including one 42”-#28 beast. I can’t say enough good things about Mike and the services he provides. I’ve done guided trips all over the world and he’s up there with the best.

Mike is the man. Really cool, relaxed dude. We are from Michigan and have used charter services on Lake Michigan where the captain was kind of an A-Hole. (My boat, don't touch my stuff, get out of my way kind of attitude.) Totally opposite experience with Mike. We got a few big ones in the boat, not many, but we caught more than any other boat on the water that day. We won't ever use another charter when we come back to visit. Thanks Mike!.

My wife Katherine and I had a great time Mike. The fish were great as well. Fried the spotted and some of the striped for breakfast with grits. Grilled a big slab for dinner. We tried to book him for another day soon after our trip,but he was booked up. Bottom line, great guy, fantastic guide, highly recommend to everyone.

Mike is the man. My girlfriend had never been fishing before and he put us on them big time! picked us up on our dock so we didn't even have to drive to meet him. 10/10 looking forward to going out there with him again. Thanks again for a great day Mike

I've done about 5 trips now with various friends and family. Mike knows how to find stripers all through the year. Never had a bad trip; he's too nice a guy and too good at his profession. Highly recommended, especially for younger kids who are astonished to be pulling in fish as big as they are or bigger after the fight of their lives. Does a fantastic job of managing all the lines, all the gear, all the work, including somehow keeping the boat over the fish, even while the guests are doing nothing more than grabbing rods and fighting fish, typically 2-3 at a time... You just have to show up, though as you learn more, you can help a little to avoid missing a fish here and there. But Mike puts you on the fish, does everything possible to get them on the line, and then helps your group land them as much or as little as possible. Also great with kids- Moms and Dads both will enjoy watching their little girls and boys fight a big fish and make a memory for life. Here's just one sample from our last trip- they weren't all this big, but the record is also about three times this big...

We went at the end of summer, worst time of the year for Smith Lake Strikers. My wife and I each caught a fish. Mike could find them, but they were 50 feet deep and not biting. Mike knows what he is doing, fish were not active. We had a good time, and We want to go again.

Fished with mike on oct 5th 2020. Had a great time with a very good catch. Lots of laughter and fun. Mike has a great personality and is a joy to fish with. Cant wait until our next trip.
