I contacted Caryn for help with a living room that was driving me crazy. I loved the individual pieces, but nothing was cohering, and the fact that the room opens onto a library with a completely different feel and color scheme only exacerbated the problem. Caryn almost instantly came up with an inspired scheme that pulled the space together in ways we never would have imagined. She respected our taste but added more modern touches. (Our lampshades were so outdated!) She respected our budget, but suggested a few luxurious touches (gorgeous wallpaper for a library wall that had lacked definition and beautiful tile to cover a crudely filled-in old fireplace) that were worth every penny. Finally, she communicated the organizing principles of the design in such a way that we’ll be able to build on it in the future.
