Let me start by saying I grew up boating in Florida and my brother is a Captain, so I am very picky and have high standards when it comes to charters. I must say that Captain Chuck and his 1st mate Annie did not disappoint. We started out at a convenient private launch location with super easy parking and private clean bathrooms, and the boat was brand new and beautiful. We booked a sunset cruise and also made a last-minute itinerary change, stopping at a popular restaurant for a girl’s weekend. It was so nice to be able to personalize exactly what we wanted to do.
Also, the Homosassa River can be very challenging to navigate but Captain Chuck was awesome, and his expertise and knowledge is evident. We had a fantastic time and always felt 100% safe.
I will definitely come back soon and book Sun Catcher for scalloping with my kids!

Visited Homosassa for the 4th of July and had a blast! Annie and Chuck were the best- they are very knowledgeable of the area and took us to the best spots to find scallops. The boat was pristine and sat our group of 8 comfortably. 10/10 would recommend!

Had a wonderful time scalloping over the Fourth of July weekend - Chuck and Annie knew the best spots to take us to find scallops. The boat comfortably fit the 8 of us on the boat and the boat was made even more comfortable with all the yummy snack and drinks that were provided. We ended the scalloping day by cooling off at the springs before heading back - 10/10 would recommend!

My husband and I had such an amazing time Sunday! Took a beautiful cruise down the river. Saw tons of dolphins and a huge sea turtle! Stopped for lunch saw a manatee and a tarpon. After lunch headed to the Springs to cool off in the chilly crystal clear water. So refreshing! Can't wait to book our next trip with the whole family!! Thank you

Our family had an amazing adventure with the Sun Catcher crew! I’ve lived in Florida for 49 years and never had I been scalloping. It’s like an underwater Easter egg hunt. Our daughter had a blast exploring the sea grass and search for hidden treasures. After scalloping we headed up the river to the springs and relaxed in the cool, fresh water. We recently had the pleasure of going on the Sun Catcher. It was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. One of the highlights of the trip was swimming with manatees. It was truly magical to get so close to these gentle giants in their natural habitat.
