Tappo at the Museum - Buffalo, New York

My husband and I knew immediately that the Buffalo History Museum was going to be our wedding venue reception. The staff was personable, and the location was absolutely romantic. There were a few coordinator changes throughout the wedding planning process, however, Christa did a wonderful job of meeting our expectations.

We were able to drop-off our decorations in the parking lot the day of our wedding. I really appreciated being able to come in ahead of time to do a few mock-setups, since we DIY'd most of our decorations. We also appreciated that the museum was giving of decorations/extras without the "a la carte" pricing that exists with wedding vendors nowadays. The pricing was fair and honest, which sealed the deal for us. In addition, they really treated our decorations and glass items with care after the wedding. That takes a bit of extra time, however, we noticed this. After the wedding, Christa shared her honesty regarding a couple vendors that disappointed us as well. We appreciated the hard work, commitment to quality service and care in helping us achieve the vision. The food, venue and staff are still talked highly of from our friends/family, even 6 months later. Though it was a sweltering day in August, the space served us perfectly. Kudos to Christa and the staff!

We had our ceremony and reception at The Buffalo History Museum in June, with Tappo handling the catering. First, The History Museum as a wedding venue is absolutely beautiful. Unlike other venues, you don't even have to do anything to dress it up -- the natural beauty and historic charm is already there! The ceremony and reception spaces were beautiful. And Christa and her team at Tappo were fantastic! They worked so hard to make sure that every little detail was perfect. And the food was phenomenal. We actually had guests go out of their way to tell us how great the food was (we had braised beef short rib and chicken marsala; the parmesan risotto as a side was sooooo good). As we were leaving at the end of the night, one of the catering staff members pulled us aside and told us she cut off some of our wedding cake and set it aside for us so we would have it for later. If it wasn't for her, the only cake we would have had was the little bit we ate for our cake cutting photo! (Photos shown were taken by our awesome wedding photographer Jessy Herman Photo.)

I cannot recommend getting married at The Buffalo History Museum with Tappo catering enough! They executed our day perfectly and I could not be happier. Christa, whom we worked with was amazing, on top of everything and made sure the day executed exactly how we pictures. I'm sure she handled some behind-the-scene stuff that wasn't perfect, but to us, she made sure we were able to enjoy our day while she handled everything at the venue. She is extremely professional and knows what she is doing! The Tappo catering staff was amazing as well. & the food.... was incredible. We opted for family style... our friends and family are still raving about how great the food was! The Buffalo History Museum is such a special place to get married ad Tappo catering made it even better. Easy and beautiful. Highly recommend, do not have a bad thing to say!

If I could give it 10 stars I would! Everything was perfect - the venue, the serving team, the food, the drinks. From the very get-go, the Tappo at the Museum team made holding our event very easy. They worked with me on a delicious menu, were very responsive with questions, and provided information when I needed it. Day of the event, the serving team were on top of everything -- drinks were flowing, food never emptied, and the staff were gracious and helpful. Our guests raved about the food, so delicious. Shout out to the bartenders, servers, our great banquet captain and chef -- phenomenal. Special shout out to Christa DiF, our event coordinator - amazing! Thank you for helping me celebrate!

We had our wedding at the Buffalo History Museum catered by Tappo. Sophia and Christa were wonderful to work with - accommodating, answered all questions, and willing to trouble shoot on anything. All guests were commenting on how delicious the food was - we did family style and I would highly recommend this. We had 140 guests which I believe was a perfect size for a reception in the state room and mezzanine. The night of, all staff was responsive to requests and looking out for guests. I would absolutely recommend Tappo and the Buffalo History Museum - they were a big part in making this the best day of our lives!

I had my wedding reception catered by Tappo at the Museum this year. It was a great decision! The coordinator Therese will work with you (and your DJ, florist, etc.) to make sure everything on your night goes smoothly, from the reception meal to the table decorations. The entire museum was open for us the night of our wedding ceremony and reception and the weather was beautiful so guests could explore both indoor and outdoor spaces. The cost was very fair compared to other wedding caterers in the area. The fact that Therese also essentially coordinated the entire wedding was also very convenient. There were glowing reviews from my guests about the appetizers, main meal, waitstaff, and the entire night. If you are wondering where to host a small wedding (50-100 people) in upstate NY this is your place!

We had our wedding at the History Museum with catering provided by Tappos. Christa was extremely prompt and also patient in answering many emails from me and my mom leading up to the wedding. The rehearsal went off without a hitch and our wedding day was wonderful. Everything went very smoothly! The venue was so beautiful and the food was the best I've ever had at a wedding! We would definitely recommend the History Museum as a beautiful wedding venue and Tappos as an excellent caterer!

We would highly recommend this venue for your wedding! Everything about the day was perfect, and a lot of that is thanks to Christa and the rest of the staff. Christa was so easy to work with leading up to the event, answering any of our questions and meeting with us multiple times to go over all of the details. On the day of, Christa and her staff did a wonderful job setting up the room and paying attention to all of our little details. She continued to communicate with us throughout the night to help with anything we might need and to check in on how things were going. The food was absolutely amazing and our guests couldn't stop raving about it!
