The team was able to bring our wishes to reality regarding sustainability. We hired TBD for all of our wedding furniture and floral needs, including floral arrangements. We asked for local flowers to avoid flying in refrigerated flowers and plants just for a wedding. Rachel and Annaliese were highly professional and coordinated closely with our wedding coordinator and event designer, so we didn’t need to worry about too much leading into the wedding month. Overall we had a pleasant experience, though the communication could be better.

In looking for a design for our wedding day, Jillian and TBD came highly recommended by our wedding coordinator, Julie Scrivener. TBD has a fabulous selection of rentals and a wonderful team to bring your vision to life! I very much appreciated & enjoyed the experience of visiting the studio and playing around with designs and textiles - how fun! As you may imagine, after multiple postponements of my wedding day through COVID - I had a lot of time to think and re-think of what my day would look like until we finally celebrated July 3, 2022. Jillian, Emileeann and the team were incredibly kind, patient and understanding through it all. The reception design turned out amazing, as expected. Thank you Jillian, Emileann, & the TBD team for being a part of our special once in a lifetime day!

I cannot thank the TBD team enough for helping make our wedding vision board come to life!! Their team was amazing to work with and made the wedding planning process less stressful by helping us create our vision board, having an extensive inventory for all our rental needs (chairs/tables, signage, decor, etc.), providing all the wedding florals and being there the wedding day to set up/flip/clean up the venue space.

As a bride who did not have a set wedding vision, Emileeann on the TBD team helped me create a vision board and was easy to communicate with as we edited it to make it OUR dream wedding. I was beyond happy when I saw the decor, details, and florals on my wedding day that it brought me to tears. I cannot thank the TBD team enough & I highly recommend their services for all future brides. They truly can do it all!

We hired TBD San Diego for both florals and rentals for our August 2022 wedding at Venue 808. My partner and I have zero eye for design and leaned heavily on our planner (Heather from Willmus Weddings) and Emileeann from TBD to come up with the perfect vision based on our very vague ideas and they nailed it! Heather shared our design board with TBD and Emileeann found the perfect florals, dinner wear, and accents to bring it to life and sent us a very detailed quote. After we agreed to the basic ideas we visited their warehouse for an in person mock up of our table designs - this was very helpful to see how everything would come together and make additional adjustments based on what we liked or didn’t like. Emileeann also accompanied us to our venue walkthrough so she could see the space and make additional suggestions for items we should consider to enhance the venue. It was very easy to work with TBD and Emileeann was responsive and adjusted our quote multiple times with no issues.

On the day of our wedding, Emileeann and her team created the most amazing tablescape, altar arch, and a hundred other details that really made the venue pop. Every single floral was carefully placed around the venue in such a thoughtful way and it was fantastic to see everything come together. All of our guests commented on the care and detail the TBD team took to decorate the venue. They especially liked the floral seating chart TBD created. On top of all the decorations, they created some wonderfully unique bouquets and boutonnieres for the wedding party and our families - people could not stop taking photos of the tiny pineapples in all the boutonnieres and the bouquets complimented our colors perfectly! Overall we could not have asked for a better design team for our wedding - our experience working with Emileeann from start to finish was fantastic and we don’t have enough good things to say about the final product

We used TBD for rentals at our wedding! They have one of the biggest variety of inventory and amazing prices! They came to our venue space and helped set everything up and flip the space after the ceremony. Everyone we worked with was super friendly, professional and helpful! They really went above and beyond and created a disco ball install on the ceiling for me, helping my whole vision come to life! We loved it!! TBD is able to provide everything from lounge sets, tables, welcome signs, arches and place settings! It made it so easy dealing with one vendor for everything!

TBD has good inventory and is a nice one-stop-shop for florals too, but they are not at the caliber or skillset yet to be hired for luxury weddings. They simply do not have the attention to detail, communication skills or understanding of really basic elements of design to execute correctly. If you have high standards for your wedding day and want peace of mind that your rentals and design will be done as you planned and paid for, do NOT choose TBD as your vendor. We desperately wish we could go back in time and choose a different vendor to save us from the constant heartache and regret we have felt over what TBD did to us on our wedding day.
For us, they chose to separate our head table into four separate tables that couldn’t be moved together on the day of our wedding. This then completely threw off our seating chart for our most special people. My husband didn’t get to sit at the same table as his best man and several bridal party members didn’t get to sit at the same table as the dates they had brought to accompany them. The chairs made no orderly sense as they were not intended to be dispersed over four tables and my husband and I were literally hanging off the edge of an off-centered table because he was supposed to be splitting center with me from the other physically adjacent table but now couldn’t. We were beyond mortified (and still are) and had to individually reach out to our bridal party after the wedding and explain why some were separated from their dates, while others weren’t, assuring them that our rentals vendor did this to us completely unannounced and it was not due to our seating chart that had been planned for one singular table with such thought and care. The head table had been planned and discussed in countless meetings, diagrams and calls so it truly remains a mystery to us how TBD made this massive blunder. Especially since Jillian even created our escort board denoting “Table 1 for 25 guests”, again begging the question of HOW could this mistake have possibly happened?
To this day, I constantly have nightmares of our head table disaster and wake up in a panic only to realize that it wasn’t a bad dream and this actually happened and was our reality. TBD’s mistake ruined our wedding dinner which we had been SO looking forward to and is now immortalized in the background of nearly all our wedding photos since it was set up to be the focal point of our reception. It is where we were sitting for all of our toasts and the background of our first dance. I can hardly make an album because the reception photos upset me so much.
In addition to the head table (our biggest loss), TBD also switched out the white wooden boxes for our ceremony we had planned and paid for with clear acrylic boxes that fogged up on our wedding day and did not go with the aesthetic I had wanted, they put tons of greenery on our arches when I had said and written multiple times that we did not want a lot of greenery if any (they put so much it literally fell down during the dinner and looked so messy), they charged my dad’s credit card in full after confirming he was paying by check, and Jillian came late to our final scheduled run-through on Zoom because she was “in a mock-up with another bride” during our scheduled time just 9 days before my event. This Zoom call is where my planner and I once again confirmed the seating chart and table layouts, so if Jillian had been on time this issue could have had a real shot of being avoided. I will always wonder what could have been for the rest of my life.
Details like these are critical for a rentals and design vendor to be aware and on top of if they want to be in an industry such as weddings. Jillian was also defensive and doubled-down, barely apologizing to us, when we finally gained courage to share how their actions have continued to deeply affect us. Just a terrible experience and so sad it happened on the event which was our one wedding day.
