I took my 3 year old daughter dog sledding in the summer, it was a wonderful experience. I had done it once before it park city, but this took the cake. Our guide Nick was amazing, kind, great with my kiddo, and let her safely interact with the dogs. She was so happy she didn’t want to leave. The sleigh ride itself was fun, a little wet, and definitely got my adrenaline pumping!! Enjoyed every minute of it. Just remember there are lots of dogs so it’s a bit loud and dress appropriately cause you will get dirty!!!

Amazing Experience. Nick is top notch and really goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable. He introduced us to all his dogs prior to going out on our sled ride. He even let our 3 kids harness the dogs prior to heading out. It's a very relaxed atmosphere and I'd Highly recommend it to anyone looking for an enjoyable dog sledding experience. We looked at multiple places and decided to go with Nick. Very Happy that we did. We loved the care and compassion he shows for his dogs and his clients. Also, some of the other places only take you for very short rides and we didn't feel that was worth the money. Thanks again Nick. We'll be watching you next year in the Iditarod.

I booked a last minute stay at the Outpost Yurts and they told us about Nic & his dogs next door. Totally cool. Nic has a great personality, was super welcoming, and funny. His dogs are so sweet. This was a great way to start my trip in Alaska!

We loved everything about this amazing summer dog sledding experience. It is so evident that Nic loves all his dogs (over 30 when we were there). We got to meet them all and learn about their unique names and personalities. They were super friendly and loved the attention. We even got to hold 3 adorable puppies! Nic taught us so much about the different equipment and races. Our kids loved harnessing the dogs that pulled us. Once we were on off, we got to see his beautiful property. He has worked so hard on the trails and everything was just perfect. We loved the authentic personal experience. We were very glad we waited until after our cruise to do this real dogsledding experience close to Anchorage. It was way better than what we thought about doing through the cruise. We highly recommend this experience!

Had such a fun time with Nic & his team today!! Started off cuddling some 3 week old puppies then got to meet his entire team. All the dogs had sweet, silly personalities, & were all so friendly!! We learned about Nic's racing experiences, & he taught us about his racing gear. We got to properly harness some of the dogs then got a summer training ride around Nic's property. Ended the day cuddling & playing with Pickle, a super sweet 10 year old retiree. Definitely one of the highlights of our Alaska adventure! Thanks Nic & team!

Wow! What an amazing experience! We got to meet all the dogs and hear a little about their stories.

Nic anticipates visitor's needs and makes sure everyone is comfortable, dry, warm, and looked after. He welcomes questions and makes sure everyone is involved.

The ride itself was so much fun! Nic has trails with straights and curves. This is seriously more fun than a rollercoaster!

We will 100% do the Dogstead experience again. Thanks for a great Alaska experience!
