The evening could not have gone any smoother! Choosing The District for our daughter's wedding was perfect because that building and Richmond have special memories for our entire family. Working with Heather and Sam made it even better! They went above what I expected when booking, and they worked hard to accommodate all our wishes and needs. The venue is beautiful, that's obvious! It's all the pieces working together - the bridal suite, the balcony, the enclosed/heated patio, the full-kitchen, the accessibility, the rental options, the flexibility in design - all of it that made this place a memorable night for all of us. Again, I can't say enough wonderful things about Heather and Sam; they are truly the best!

We got married at The District on September 9, 2023 and to say it was the perfect day would be an understatement! We had the BEST time working with Heather and Sam from the time we toured the venue up to our wedding day. They went above and beyond with making our vision for our wedding day come to life! The venue & patio are breathtaking! Our guests raved about how beautiful the entire property is! I was so excited to get ready in the GORGEOUS bridal suite with my girls--its so spacious and the perfect photo op for a first look with your girls! Our bar package, bar tenders, and signature drinks were also a huge hit!! We cannot recommend The District enough, you will not regret having your wedding here!

Stunning. Whether you are at their outside area or indoors - upstairs or down - you will feel wonderful. There is so much to enjoy in this one venue. You have options galore how you wish to customize your own event and if you get Tyler to assist you, you'll be treated like royalty. Heather, the owner was on top of it also, and our most special day went off without a single issue! Amazing!! We loved it here and couldn't have asked for more. Even better, is there is Richmond No. 267 Boutique Loft Airbnb hosted by Jason and Liz that the bride and groom can stay at - less than a block away! That place is GORGEOUS!!!!!! This couldn't have been a better, more smooth night.

We recently held our wedding at The District, and it was nothing short of perfect. From the moment we booked the venue, Heather, the owner, made everything seamless with her exceptional communication and support. Any time we needed something, she was just a call or email away, always available to help.

The outdoor ceremony space was absolutely breathtaking. We were blessed with a cloudless, sunny 80° day that transitioned into a cool 65° evening. Our guests loved the outdoor ambiance, especially the outdoor bar area during hors d'oeuvres and the open bar. As the night cooled down, people gathered around the fire pits, smoking cigars, and reminiscing with family and friends—a truly special touch that made the evening even more memorable.

Inside, the reception space was equally impressive. The 18-table room with a spacious dancefloor was perfect for our DJ to keep the party going. The indoor-outdoor flow was ideal, giving guests the option to dance the night away inside or relax and unwind outside by the fire pits.

A few standout features of The District made our day even more special. The bridal suite was a dream, providing a beautiful and private space for us to get ready and use throughout the event. The bartenders were professional and friendly, ensuring everyone had a great time. We also loved that the outdoor area could be transformed from a ceremony space to a fun spot for a taco and churro stand later in the night.

We had a specific request for certain liquor, and Heather and her team made sure it was available for us—another example of their outstanding service.

Our guests couldn’t stop complimenting us on the venue, especially the way it allowed for both indoor and outdoor experiences. Whether it was dancing to the DJ inside or enjoying whiskey and cigars by the fire pits outside, there was something for everyone. They even had games like Jenga and cornhole for anyone looking to have a little fun.

If you’re looking for a venue that offers both beauty and versatility, with a team that truly cares about making your day perfect, look no further than The District. We couldn’t be happier with our choice and would highly recommend it to anyone planning a special event.

My husband and I had our wedding reception on Sept 2nd. Everything was amazing. The venue is absolutely beautiful! Our guests raved about how beautiful the inside and outside was. Heather and Sam went above and beyond to make sure our day ran smoothly and was super special. If you’re looking for a elegant, industrial chic wedding venue in a small town, this is the place! We could not have asked for a better venue to host our baby shower! The District exceeded all our expectations from the planning process through the entirety of the event. Heather was exceptional to work with in bringing our vision to life. She combined our wants with her experience to create a layout that fit the event perfectly. Sam was a great help on the day of making sure we had everything we needed as we set up.

The accommodations were unlike any other venues. Not only are there a variety of spaces, but they are all so beautifully designed and decorated. Even though the room could fit well beyond our 50 people, it was set up in such a way that made it feel intimate.

I was amazed by the venue after attending a wedding here this summer and I heard several of my guests having the same reaction of thinking about what events they could host here as well. We highly recommend The District for events big or small!
