Tremendous, intimate place for live music in many forms; professional to amateur, seasoned to novice. The Open Mic Community is very supportive as is the crew making it all work smoothly on stage and at the bar and in the kitchen. Nate is so patient, knowledgeable and talented. We had a wonderful experience attending the Richard Shindell show at the Listening Booth.
The room is amazing and the sound was well mixed for a clear and comfortable volume. They have a very nice food/drink menu and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to visit again!

the sound guy working on october 2, 2024 during open mic (i think his name is nate), is a jerk. he was super rude when trying to get us off the stage when we were clearly packing up. a mic stand tipped over when i was trying to unwire my pedals and he rushed and made a rude comment to me. he also was so bluntly telling us to get off stage when we were so CLEARLY taking down and being totally compliant (not to mention, he cut our set short AND turned my sound off until the end of our 45 second song). we were doing music there that they’re not super used to and it seems like the sound guy either has little tolerance for having to do SLIGHTLY more work since it takes us longer (2-3 minutes longer) to set up and for him to mix the sound right, which really just means actually doing his job OR he just personally doesn’t enjoy what we’re doing, so he makes it harder for us to be able to do. the OPEN mic isn’t really THAT open, so if you’re not just playing acoustic guitar or have to plug in more than one thing, stay away from here for open mic.
