The Melting Point - Sedona, Arizona

We visited the Melting Point while at Sedona for kids' spring break. The Melting Point offers a unique and enjoyable experience (Age 7+). I booked our session a few weeks in advance. There is a $50 booking deposit, and the total project cost ranges from $100 to $225, with the deposit being deducted from the final amount.

Each participant can choose one from seven items, including a glass, two types of bowls, a paper weight, a flower, a cactus, and a pot. While the choices may seem limited, each piece turns out beautifully, and the process of creating it is captivating to watch. Our instructor, Greg, was incredibly patient and kind, answering the questions of our curious 9-year-old and 7-year-old.

There were 5 people in our session, allowing us to observe the projects of others as well. Seeing each person's unique creation was fascinating, so you won’t get bored. We chose to create paperweights for the kids, and they enjoyed selecting colors, molding the liquid glass into a ball, poking them to make an air bubble, and finally cutting it. Each project takes about half an hour, and the finished pieces will be ready the next day. Be sure to plan accordingly. If you cannot pick up your project, they can arrange courier delivery at an additional cost.

The workshop is kid-friendly, clean, safe, wheelchair accessible, has free parking, and provides safety goggles for everyone. It should be on your list if you want a unique experience that will create a memory and a beautiful keepsake.

A Must-Do Experience—Rain or Shine!
On a cold, rainy day during our vacation, we decided to try something different and signed up for a glass blowing session at The Melting Point—and we’re so glad we did! The staff was fantastic, walking us through every step of the process with patience and care. It was incredibly interesting to learn how glass art is made, and even more special to create our own unique piece to take home.

This isn’t just a great rainy day activity—it’s an unforgettable hands-on experience that we’d highly recommend no matter the weather!

Alexa was the best! She guided us through the glass blowing process ranging from a sucky bowl, vase, flower and a cactus! She is totally a pro, making everything seem so easy and flow smoothly. Highly recommend taking a class here! Tons of fun and super exciting, it'll blow you away

I've always been fascinated with glass blowing. Being able to take the beginner class and make something was incredible. Alexa Rose did such a great job showing us what to do and helping to make our project. So good we will be back!

My friends and I had a wonderful experience here as part of my bachelorette party. I’ve done a few classes elsewhere but it was everyone else’s first time. We all had a great time and I have to say this class was better compared to others in striking a balance between being hands-on and producing a beautiful piece! Alexa Rose was a fantastic instructor who made the experience so fun, and everyone was very pleased with their pieces. We hit a few snafus with shipping but Jordan was extremely communicative, professional, and accommodating when I reached out. I highly recommend doing their classes and also browsing their gallery with so many incredible pieces! Can’t wait to do it again whenever I’m back in Sedona.

We had a wonderful time at The Melting Point. My wife and I made the cactus together and our daughter made the bowl. Alexa Rose was a great instructor that kept everyone safe during the process. This place was so cool. Amazing artwork inside. We took a two hour glass blowing class. Alexa Rose was our instructor. She was very personable, friendly and knowledgeable. She made us feel welcome and safe during this course. If I lived near Sedona I believe I would become a regular there, that’s how much fun it was. Thanks again Alexa Rose for being a great host and instructor, your passion for glass blowing is infectious.
