I was here for a conference. The hotel was great. The staff is truly remarkable. Our room was very nice and had many great qualities. The food was also tasty from the variety of locations throughout the property. If I want to stay somewhere again I will definitely choose this hotel. The location itself was centrally located to everything I wanted to do.

After reading some of the reviews, I was terrified- but we had an amazing experience! Everyone I encountered was kind and happy to serve us, which was a blessing (no conferences or weddings happening, so staff was available). Our room was clean (nice white linens) and updated (the bed was super comfortable and the barn door allowed for extra private space getting ready). I should note, we stayed in the main area, regular room, two queen beds. The main pool area was fabulous (clean and calm) and the bartender was amazing (she's been there forever!). The night time fire pits were a perfect atmosphere while relaxing. The shop was stacked with everything we needed and the employee in there was delightful. I was surprised to see cigarette butts on the ground on walkways to main area- first that someone would do that and then that there was no one surveying the grounds in the main areas- but the flowers around the grounds were beautiful. The only regret is the food is not the best. Nachos at the pool were good, breakfast (although staff was amazing) left a little to be desired, but we were always met promptly with kindness. We did not eat dinner in the main restaurant, so maybe trying that next time will change our mind about eating there. For the resort price, it would be nice to be able to get high quality food. We will be back, to explore the rest of the grounds and other pools. But, contrary to other reviews the staff, room, and main pool area were a positive experience and worthy of a returned visit. It's close to great restaurants and the location is nearby sought after attractions.

Loved staying here! Great views and wonderful scenery all along the property. Great location, next to shops and restaurants. Easy drive to hikes and popular locations. Definitely felt safe in the area, in and around the property. Would absolutely recommend this to friends and family. Staff was all so wonderful, kind, and helpful. The pool area got a little rowdy with kids splashing and running around during the weekend, but during the week days it was peaceful and relaxing! There are also other smaller pools to accommodate quiet time too.

Upon arrival for our 4-night stay we were told the property was undergoing renovations until late fall we were not told all amenities and several of the resort's pools would be closed at the time of check-in. We were still charged a resort fee, which I’m confused as to why because nothing was available at the resort which increased our out of pocket expenses. During our stay, our keys stopped working, had to wait outside for maintenance for over 10 minutes, and limited parking at the resort due to major construction.

Only two of the smaller pools were open and were severely underwhelming. The trash overflowing, lack of pool towels and the amount of people at the pools made it a horrible experience.

The rooms are Severely outdated. From the decor to the dust and cleanliness I wish I could give no stars. On top of that, we had ROACHES in our villa. Disgusting.

The resort is in a good location but please beware and stay away. This place is not a 4 stay hotel maybe 2 at best. I’m sure there are similar resorts with better amenities, updated rooms, and better views.

Overall it was a great place to stay at.

Pros
- Very beautiful resort, well maintained outdoors and great pools.
- Restaurants on the property are also great for both food and ambience.
- The valet service and golf carts are really convenient.
- The location of the property is phenomenal with everything close by including Old Town Scottsdale.

Cons
- The rooms are spacious but not up to the mark for a 4-star hotel.
- We stayed 2 nights and didn’t have housekeeping on one of the days.

I would still recommend this property because the value for money you get is worth it.

I was originally pretty down on this place when I arrived. The man working at the front desk couldn’t have been less interested in welcoming me or sharing anything about the resort. He just ushered me out the front doors to the bellman who drove me to my room. He was helpful and friendly. Upon entrance to my room, I was disheartened. It was dark and quite worn. Aside from that, it was spacious and clean. The next morning, I had a very good breakfast and walked around a bit. The resort is large- 40 acres. For the next few days I was in and out. The breakfasts continued to be quite good. The pools are a bit dated but still nice. It was hard to find a chair sometimes- especially one in the shade. They definitely need more chairs and more shade. The blonde woman working the pool bar is WONDERFULbut on Saturday she was a bit overwhelmed, with quite a line of people waiting for drinks. She definitely needed a second bartender. She stayed friendly and professional throughout. When I went to the pool at 930 Sunday morning, I was surprised to find that there were only two towels left. I let the front desk know and the woman seemed annoyed and dismissive. Towels arrived soon after. ||There are a lot of good things here and there is also room for growth. I’d probably only stay here again if the room rates were awesome.

When we arrived for our stay, the front desk simply passed me a note informing us that the pools and restaurants would be closed starting the day of our stay. They are performing construction on the resort, and we woke up at 8 am to drilling the following day. We were never notified prior that the conveniences we thought we would have access to would be completely unavailable to us. The grounds and room were nice, but I found this lack of communication to be disappointing and unprofessional. When we inquired about this, they did waive the price of one night for us, but I would rather have had a heads up about closures.

I've stayed here a few times and always have a great experience. The staff is super nice and the food is amazing. The pool is always clean and fun to hang out at. They have amazing gelato in their store too. This is a great stop to stay at before going to the Grand Canyon or Sedona too!
