It was our first time working there as photographers. The building is lovely, property well maintained, and everything is close together. Most importantly they treated our bride well. The southern charm is undeniable.

The Witt House is an amazing venue! The venue is beautiful. The owner and staff are helpful and accommodating. We recently had my sister's celebration of life at The Witt House. It was absolutely perfect. The food was wonderful and the staff were super friendly and helpful. They made our hopes for her Celebration of Life a reality. We are forever grateful! Thank you!!

Nice location but loud from I-65 traffic. Plenty of parking but zero lights after dark leading to the parking. Good pavilion but no indoor location for a ceremony.

The Witt House is one of, if not the best venues I have ever attended for a wedding. This is a secret gem of a place tucked away in shadow of Decatur/Huntsville. This campus would easily accommodate a business gathering, training event, family reunion, wedding, or any special occasion. When the azaleas and hydrangeas fill out in the understory of mature pines and oak, the approach will be completely southern and stately. Perhaps the most pleasant surprise was the delicious catering from JW Steakhouse. The chicken, steak, and shrimp offerings were the best I have eaten at a catered event. The staff were super friendly and were happy to serve and welcomed every attendee. Can hardly wait till my next invitation to an event here!

Just had my wedding there and we decided to go ahead and book because we were told that the rehearsal dinner was included. Turns out it, it wasn’t. Jody said it wasn’t in writing. We were told that beer and wine were included in the price of the catering and liquor could be purchase. We weren’t told until the day of the wedding. Jody apparently “broke his phone” and lost all of our agreements. I was told by another person that he told them the same thing when they had their wedding there. They have two different contracts, one for the rehearsal dinner and one for the wedding day. the one we got was very basic, didn’t explain anything and ambiguous. My husband has a 12 minute recording of Jody yelling and getting angry. It was A LOT of miscommunication throughout everything. A lot of he said/she said. If I can give you one advice before booking this venue, make sure you get everything in writing and make sure the contract it itemize. Make sure the contract has everything that Jody promises. Overall the venue was beautiful and the food was good.

Beautiful venue, great spaces for everyone to get ready. Love all the options! The owner was wonderful and talked for a while with my husband about their love for bourbon. Highly recommend for events!
