We had to hustle some to find an available A section 30 amp slot since that area was mostly filled. The park rangers were helpful in getting us accommodated. For as many campers that were hooked up there, the area was surprisingly quiet and comfortable. Everyone we encountered there was friendly. Set-up was easy and power/water connections were reliable. There was plenty to see and do around the area, and having town close by was convenient.

I’m sure there are plenty of great experiences to have here but I was surprised to have my first Thousand Trails stay to be lack luster. Much to my surprise when I arrived, I was only allowed to choose from four different sites and none of which were in great locations. I made these reservations under the impression I would get to choose any open spot. All of the wonderful views are up in the 50 amp sections if you want those spots you have to call the park directly ahead of time. I was in H section my neighbor who is a long-term resident of the place is very nice. Everyone has been very friendly. There is a very loud resident across the way who stands outside a talks all day long to anyone who passes by. The clubhouse is like stepping back in time. It’s kind of like sixth grade camp very disappointed that the pool balls had to be checked out with a credit card up at the guard shack but you can take the golf balls and clubs at any time. The playground is very sad so if you have kids, there’s not much for them to do here. The dog park is an empty sandlot and the large dog park used to be RV storage I believe, so it’s just an empty lot. I hope the rest of my experiences with thousand trails is a little more worthy of the price I’m paying for a membership.

This is a VERY comfortable RV Resort! We went for our annual first outing of the year and it was perfect! Off the highway so it’s quiet and beautiful views of Sedona red rocks, San Fransisco peaks…just lovely! Highly recommended! ||Best time is fall, winter and spring to avoid the heat.

Sedona is one of our favorite hiking destinations, offering breathtaking scenery and well-maintained trails. Verde Valley TT, conveniently located just 23 miles away, makes access to this stunning area a breeze. Plus, its proximity to Jerome and Cottonwood adds to the appeal—Cottonwood has everything you need, from grocery stores to dining and shopping options.||||The friendly staff created a welcoming atmosphere, and the weekly craft sale was a wonderful touch. The only downside was the poor cell coverage, but that didn’t overshadow the experience. We’ll definitely be returning!

This is a nice TT. It is a large campground and the new RV sites are huge and they have great views! But they were all taken. We stayed in the older part of the campground and it was OK. The old sites could use some clean up, but overall the campground is well kept. The recreational buildings are well kept and really clean. We also like that the Ranger gives you a map with a list of the open campsites when you arrive so you don't have to drive around figuring it out on your own. That makes it much easier finding a spot since they don't assign spots.

We come to this part frequently and have for years. The park is looking very run-down. The park is getting worse as time goes by. For example, there are more dirt and unkept lots than green, manicured lots. The dead grass and dirt are very messy. Every visit requires a trash patrol of the lot before camping. The watering is left up to campers and this is not a good process, rarely are people prepared with extra hoses, etc. A better process would be for the park to simply ask guests if it's ok to water, maintain the lots while campers are onsite during their stay and have the staff manage this. If people aren't ok with watering and maintenance being done, then a rotation could take place, so the site is fixed once that camper has vacated. There are numerous sites capped out of order. If these spots will permanently be out of order, maybe replace the green bags with a fake rock or shrub to cover the power/water post? Some of the residence sites are getting out of control, the "yard art" is becoming very cluttered and excessive. This takes away from the "resort" feel and makes the overall park much less appealing, especially combined with the majority of the sites looking like dirt lots. We have just this one park in our zone for Arizona. We would go to other parks if there were an option. This Thousand trails park does not look like the sales brochures. This is my first survey response because this 'survey' site usually takes me to some other weird online junk site once I complete the survey and I usually give up and don't submit my response. But this is important and COMMON feedback from our friends and relatives who also frequent this park. You should know how we feel. I will take pictures and submit this again with photos for you.

Slow down !!!! Small signs at entrance coming in check your speed Mike at the gate will give you a friendly reminder that the speed limit is strictly enforced by the golf cart patrol and friendly neighbors. Clean and well kept facilities made for a nice stay.

Thousand Trails Verde Valley is definitely one of the best Thousand Trails trails parks that we have been in. The views from the park are absolutely amazing. The park is extremely well maintained, and the staff is absolutely top notch. Highly recommended park! Great location to visit Cottonwood, Jerome, Prescott, and Sedona.
