An experience I will always treasure! Liz was absolutely brilliant - such a knowledgeable inspiring and motivating woman. She took such great care of both myself and Donna and taught us so much from her vast experience hiking/climbing/backpacking. The trip was well organised prior to and during. The views were out of the world, the camping very comfortable, and the food was fab! Amazing company and so grateful to have had this experience with TrekSierra. Without a shadow of a doubt I will be coming back to hike with them again. Recommend every aspect of this experience 🙂

Words cannot describe the amazing backpack to Big Pine Lakes with Liz. She was not only our A+ guide but personal chef (real food!!), photographer (toss those selfies), backpacking teacher (finally learned how to tie a slip knot) and all-around fitness coach (salt is not the enemy on the trail!). I trusted her completely and a goal to backpack was not riddled with anxiety but pure joy. Thank you Liz for guiding me to my goal.

If you are deciding which company to go with for your backpacking hiking trip, hands down go with Liz (Elizabeth). Liz is absolutely amazing. She took us on the Tuolumne backpacking trip and we did not have to do anything. Close to the end of the trip, we ran out of bug spray and sure enough, she had extra for us to use. She also had sunscreen if we had forgotten it. Her cooking is absolutely amazing. Just because you are dirty and sitting on the ground does not mean you can't have a great gourmet meal being enjoyed in the wilderness. And Liz makes that happen. She will make sure that she carries most of the bulk in her backpack so that we can enjoy our hike a bit more. Liz is amazing with her research, she would show us a map of our trip, the altitude, where we can stop, etc. She was the most prepared of any guides we ever had. She also knew that we had two teenage boys with us, and took it upon herself to pack extra food. And sure enough, my boys definitely finished everything she brought.
Please use Liz, you won't regret it. Hope you enjoy your trip as much as we did.

Liz guided my 16 y-o daughter and I on the mountaineers route of Mt. Whitney. We are experienced hikers and backpackers but do not rock climb and are not "mountaineers." Liz made us feel comfortable, hiked at our pace and gave us lots of great tips. She tailored the trip to fit our skill level. She showed us skills we didn't have and cooked some awesome meals! She looked after us and because of Liz we accomplished our goal and saw the top of Mt Whitney. I especially love Liz's commitment to helping people learn how to climb, hike and camp. She is passionate with sharing her experiences with others. I highly recommend Liz!!!

Liz guided us on a three day drip through the Mammoth Mountains. She is very professional and the entire trip was well planned and thought out. The pace, rest stops and camp sites suited our skills (which were basically none). She taught us how to prepare food, water, bear safety skills as well as to property put up our tents in rainy, high-wind area. During the hike, my teenage son, sprained his ankle, and Liz adjusted our schedule to suite his pace. Her emergency aid skills also came in handy while wrapping up this ankle. After the trip, we learned he had a small fracture. Both my son and i enjoyed the trip and would definitely hire Liz again.
