As a parent who has never had to deal with anything like this I was very skeptical about it and very nervous to say the least. I literally made myself sick on the three hour drive there. Upon arriving much to my surprise, I found an extremely clean environment with approximately 10 girls who were as happy as they could be. The staff, I noticed was well respected by the children or I should say youth! As were the youth by the staff! I was very much surprised!!! I admire each and every person who work with these youth everyday. My prayer is that they will have an impact on them that when they leave the program they will leave as a changed person! Someone who will be willing to help change the lives of others they see going down the path of life that they were headed. I don't know why the youth are there, my child is there simply because she refused to take any authority from adults. It started around her late fourteens and progressively got worse to the point she started showing out at school. That is what lead her to Troy. My prayer is that she will turn her life back over to Jesus and will begin a new work for Him and come out Spirit filled and ready to work for the Kingdom! I pray each day for the youth there that they may pick up on something that will stick with them for the rest of their lives, to make a difference in the lives of others. I pray they come out wanting to help those they see going down the wrong path that they were headed down. I pray for each individual involved in making a difference in the lives of these youth that you may be blessed tenfold. For me, I think this was the best thing that could have happened for my daughter for I think she might have been going down the wrong path in life. Maybe this was Jesus' way of reeling her back into the fold! May God Bless You All!
