Excellent tour of the battlefield. It helped that the weather was nice but it’s also a perfect pace for the battlefield guide to talk about many different details of the battle. The guide is a certified Gettysburg battlefield guide which means a lot if you’re familiar with that. They go through an extensive vetting process. We also had our kids with us which worked out great although I recommend bringing something to distract them so they don’t disrupt the tour.

The carriage ride, with the licensed historian, was just amazing; really delightful. A relaxing time filled with amazing facts and history of the battle, much of which was tailored to the fate of the regiments from the states the participants were from. The horse and carriage experience really took you back in time and gave you a sense of just how long it took to assemble these troops, canon, supplies, etc. and how painful the retreat must have been, through the driving rains, mud, etc. Our guide and hosts were wonderful and this is an experience I would highly recommend.

What a great way to tour the Battlefield at Gettysburg! Very knowledgeable guide and friendly staff. The horses were beautiful and did a fantastic job pulling us around at a leisurely pace. Highly recommend!

This was our second tour and just like the first one two years ago, it did not disappoint! Our tour guide was awesome. Very knowledgeable and made sure everyone felt comfortable. The folks handling the horses and carriage were also great. My family and I enjoyed every moment of our tour. I highly recommend this tour!

Out of everything we did in Gettysburg this was the absolute best! A nice slow tour pace so you can actually see things. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly and encouraged questions. With such a small group you could hear everything being said and had the opportunity to ask your questions. We had great weather but I would have enjoyed this thoroughly even in bad weather. This is my #1 suggestion of things to do here!

I was so impressed with this tour. It was very informative. Our tour guide, Jim was excellent. The tour was about 2 hours long & he talked & informed us of the history for 2 hours straight, as if we were living in this time zone. The men & woman Involved in history, etc.
He answered questions as if he was there. I have been to Gettysburgh before, but this is by far the best tour that I have been on here, so far.
