They had the best Easter egg hunt. It was fun to watch the children walk around, collect eggs, play games and greet the Easter Bunny.

This facility always thinks of engaging activities for the community. The staff is amazingly professional and friendly. My in-laws look great when we visit, well groomed and healthy. They provide excellent communication and have attracted wonderful employees. The nurses and CNA are compassionate and Patient. We are sooooo happy we found this place 😍

After a hard fought, 3-year long battle with dementia, my dad passed away peacefully at Washington Senior Living on July 25. We were with him as he took his last breath. I can't say enough good things about the caring staff in the Southwest wing. They treated my dad as if he were their very own family. You hear horrible stories about loved ones being mistreated in nursing facilities but this was not the case at Washington. The care dad received was exceptional. They saw the best of him and the "worst", yet maintained nothing but love and compassion. Every one of them commented on his beautiful smile, kind eyes and ornery personality. They said he ruled the place and it just wasn't going to be the same without him. Dad was loved by all who knew him. I can honestly say he did not have a single enemy. I will miss him more than words can express. I am comforted knowing he is no longer suffering and in a much better place.

Where do I start? They don't adhere to the menu calender. Residents blinds are all broken and not replaced. Halls smell like poop/pee. Dirty floors. Seems like only surface cleaning done. Administrator is rude and acts like he does not have time for anyone. The building needs updating. Some of the residents smell like urine and BM. The bed my family member had to sleep in was like a prison bed. No decor or anything in the rooms. Looks like an institution. Residents don't seem to ever go anywhere unless with family. Seems like they are in it to make the most money and not spend any. The food is gross. Activities have the same things to do every week, never anything different

Washington Senior Living is an outstanding senior care facility. After having bad experiences with two other nursing facilities in the Peoria area, we were blessed to find WSL. Their staff is exceptional, and the care they provided our mother in her last days and amid the CoVID-19 virus pandemic was compassionate and caring. I would highly recommend WSL!

As a medical professional I've never had a more frustrating and headache inducing group to deal with.

They are apparently either incapable or to incompetent to actually talk to a case manager and actually follow directions.

Also apparently they have never heard of an hmo and demand that all insurances be exactly similar I can only imagine the problems if they apply this to their patients.

They also apparently do not have their bases covered on preventative care since they got hit by a wave of covid going throughout the facility. Hopefully their reactive care is better then their preventive care otherwise their incompetence will actually start to kill people
