Don’t go here unless you’re okay with dying. I’ve never had a good experience here but it’s the middle of a blizzard and I had nowhere else to go. I have severe endometriosis and I had a cyst rupture so I’ve been non stop vomiting for days but today in particular was constant vomiting for almost 18 hours, not able to hold down food or water and almost fainting. Getting a room took all of two seconds but as soon as I had to communicate with the nurses, everything went downhill. The nurses were all extremely rude except for Kate the PA and a nurse who got me a blanket eventually. I waited in the room with my boyfriend for over 2 hours, no medication, blanket or pillow(multiple employees walked by and saw me laying with my boyfriends jacket), water or call button. My boyfriend had to go out several times to ask for help, explaining we didn’t want to be difficult but I was only getting worse. They only gave attitude and ignored. After mentioning we wanted a patient advocate they were very quick to come in and start my IV. Kinda wish we risked the longer ride for a decent hospital.

Went to the hospital in ambulance they where nice until I had to deal with rude nurses that never once explained what was going on with any treatment or asked if I was alright or needed anything yeah it was cold in that room a warm blanket would of been nice. I had pain in the abdomen was sick to the point nothing but stomach fluid was coming up and the only thing that was done was blood work even though I had past gi bleeds. They didn’t do any scans for to see if anything was going on any normal hospital would have done something other than just blood work. After that I was discharged.

My 87 year old mother went to the Emergency Department for fainting and arm weakness. She was treated inhumanely. She spent 48 hours being ignored, traumatized, told that she would be arrested if she tried to leave, and had minimal workup since the staff to conduct detailed testing does not work on the weekend. We will never have an ambulance take our mother to Windham Hospital again.

Windham Hospital needs to do better. A patient comes in dehydrated, has diabetes then the nurses have the audacity to utter the words "change your lifestyle" and does absolutely nothing. Congratulations I hope someone makes an example out of you.

I went to the ER today with severe abdominal pain, each moment was top notch care. I was greeted by a friendly receptionist who helped me into a wheelchair the nurse who did my intake was super nice. I was assessed by Dr. Orlando, from assessment to diagnosis he treated me with respect, kindness, and reassurance that I was going to be okay. My nurse, Heather and her student Taylor, were calming and caring. I felt comforted and incredibly cared for. The technician who did my EKG was also compassionate, Bianca was my CAT scan technician she was super kind and caring. My last interaction with my nurses was thorough and I left feeling as if I was on a great and very well advised healing journey. As I was leaving, the night receptionist told us to have a wonderful night. Thank you Windham hospital for the excellent care today, I now feel relieved and hopeful to feel better from this pain.

It takes some time to be seen when you visit the emergency room. But once they get you in the take care of you. If you need additional services after your visit, they help with referrals. Also if you have just a regular doctors appointment MRI,STRESS TEST, HEART IMAGING, RADIOLOGY ETC. They get you in right in on time. Windham Hospital has some great nurses, staff, and doctors. Thank you for all you do!!!

I came in for suicidal ideation / suicide attempt. When I finally got seen, I got asked “So you tried to kill yourself?” To which I said yes, and the doctor’s immediate response was a bland and annoyed “Was it for attention?”. It goes without saying that this response is abysmal. I know many many many other people who have unfortunately gone here for mental health and every single one was treated poorly. I don’t know what would cause them to open up to a suicidal patient with that accusation, but my complaints with this hospital aren’t unique. I was eventually sent home, but not without further rude, completely dismissive, and offensive care. Even after sharing a shocked “no” to his accusation, they continued to meet me with the same annoyed and dismissive attitude. In situations like this, the suicidal person’s life is on the line, which evidently isn’t a priority of their’s. Many people working there, including the sad excuse of a doctor I saw, should leave the mental health field immediately. They are only doing harm, and I imagine those who somehow gave them degrees would be ashamed. I was obviously not having my health or life taken seriously at this hospital. Do not go here, or if you get sent here for mental health issues, please request to be relocated to a different hospital. Your life is valuable.
