After four days the sidewalks in Wood River are still completely impassable. There is no city program for snow removal on sidewalks. Those who can't drive, the elderly and those whom are dependent on mobility devices are unable to travel. Businesses that employ snow removal under private contract, regularly disregard the public sidewalks those businesses are responsible for. Worse yet several have farther blocked public sidewalk access rights with piles of parking lot snow they have removed. The roads stayed passable the entire time and were dry the day after.

PUBLIC SIDEWALKS ARE A RIGHT.
City council members just asked the public last year how to improve the city for walking. If they were serious, the sidewalks would be clear of snow and accessible.

Clerk is rude . Has no answers . Took other folks before finishing with me . Not the first bad experience with the city hall. Wish they'd fire her . Danielle is a poor representation of customer service and of the city of wood river.

The city controls the people who get our trash. We pay for this service. Our trash rarely gets picked up on time if at all anymore. I call and let them know and it still doesn't get resolved. I called Republic directly and they don't fix it either. I am so glad I am moving out of this town soon!

Very friendly staff. Yes I had to go in person with ID but I think that's pretty awesome. Let's me know that Harry Pairoftesticles can't just call in and have water turned on in my name. LOL
They even gave me a pamphlet of upcoming events.

Ridiculous! I had to drive there twice to turn on water on! They were unfriendly and have archaic ways to activate utilities! Really in today's technological age, you have to show up in person with id and letter on letterhead for a business!

They were the business unfriendly people that I have ever met. The is 1 empty business in Edwardsville none in Highland 3 in Bethalto over 50 in WoodRiver. Does that tell you why we have to raise sales tax. ?

It’s just so important to just be kind. The older woman shouldn’t be allowed to answer the phone! You never know who’s going through what. Extending sighs and rude judgement isn’t part of the job lady!

2 years of not receiving my water bills and having my water shut off every other month with no correction. Yikes.
