Fun rooftop bar with jungle decor and city views. It was cooler up top and had lots of seating. Drinks were pretty and tropical, but mine was a bit strong. Not many vegetarian options, mostly appetizers. Chips and salsa were okay, but the potato chips were odd. Still, it was a relaxing and fun spot.

Zanzibar Austin is an absolute gem! The rooftop location offers stunning city views and a vibrant, tropical ambiance. The atmosphere is lively yet relaxed, making it perfect for a night out. The cocktails are creative and refreshing, and the food is packed with flavor—especially the poke and jerk chicken. Service was excellent; the staff was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Despite being a popular spot, everything was well-paced, and the overall experience felt effortless. Whether for drinks at sunset or a full dinner, Zanzibar delivers on every level. I can’t wait to return—definitely a five-star experience!

Environment on a Sunday afternoon was a quiet mix a mix of couples, business partners and a group of ladies treating a punch bowl like it was a competitive sport.
Come for the views and people watching.

We started with the avocado salsa, which looked lovely but was a little shy on flavor—like it wanted to be bold but was holding back. The duck egg rolls were decent, though I couldn’t quite tell if they were made in-house or had been visiting from the freezer section.

The place is usually busy, so I intentionally tried to pick a time that it wasn't as I don't really like waiting when I'm on a time limit. Lol. But the Kahuna burger was pretty good. Wasn't of a fan of the chips. I prefer them to break a little easier than they did. The atmosphere is definitely pleasant and serene with all the plants. Diana (the bartender) was great. She smiled and engaged the way a true customer service individual should. I'll be back in the future to try the shrimp out. 😁
